Don't even think those words! Every time I see this thread bump, there's a small part of me that knows better, but still hopes that we're finally getting a peek at what they are!

I am enjoying looking at Yojoe.com's database, looking at what options there are for a true "retro" figure. If an '82 figure, straight-arm, or v1.5 swivel? What variation, if the figure had variations? Duke alone had 2 (slightly )different headsculpts, an arm variant and a waist variant within the arm variant. Yojoe has 5 total variants, between part and color differences. I still have not ruled out Hasbro being...well Hasbro, and using "wrong, but close enough" parts.
One of my favorite things about Black Major and Red Laser is when they give us a figure that just happens to look like something Hasbro promised and didn't deliver. BM has an upcoming Snake Eyes figure based on a '97 mockup and RL released a "Hollow Point" figure that is a headswap away from being the prototype Stars 'n Stripes Rock and Roll. If this retro line works, that's what I'd like Hasbro to do in some capacity eventually. We still have a while before when SDCC was going to be, so I'm not worried about lack of info yet. They even used the same molds just to call a figure with another name... I hope that never happens again from Hasbro! https://www.yojoe.com/action/97/breaker2.shtml

If that's the case, look for the 1997 Star and Stripes set that was a huge disappointment with bad colored repainted figures...

Do you have a link showing prototypes of those 97 figures that never came to fruition?
