Maybe the 9.99 figures are like those 5 inch avengers figures.

$9.99 has become the new “base line” for retail toys, much like $5 was 20-30 years ago. Truthfully, Hasbro and retailers, in my view, are charging us a “premium” for collector products. Granted, stuff like the Lightning Collection, or Legends, or Black, or Classified DO cost a little bit more to make than the basic lines...but have you seen what constitutes a “basic” these days from Hasbro?
Avengers Gamerverse 6” Basic figures have ball joint head, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. They don’t have as complex a paint job, but generally hit that sweet spot of “good enough”. In many respects, the basic Ms Marvel actually supersedes her more expensive Legends figure in game accuracy and sculpted detail. https://www.entertainmentearth.com/p...-case/hse8677a Power Rangers’ basic line hits a LOT of those same areas, offering “good enough”, which is basically pretty standard articulation with detailed accessories. There is an Amazon 3 pack which as a “basic” Mighty Morphin Red Ranger. Short a holster for his blaster, it hits all I need from a Red Ranger at half the price. But he doesn’t come with the alternate head, or effects pieces, and his articulation isn’t AS numerous. ;tldr “Good enough” isn’t good enough for collectors anymore. Hasbro makes FINE basic action figures, but collectors ignore that because they expect ULTRA articulation and numerous accessories. Also keep in mind “value perception”. The relative manufacturing cost for a 3.75 and 6” “collector quality” figure are pretty close. But with 6” being a larger figure, they can justify a higher price. One of the reasons the Titan “shampoo bottles” works so well is they “upend” that by offering a very large toy for relatively low price. Most consumers don’t factor in things like articulation or painted detail. And by keeping them simple, Hasbro’s built in a pretty healthy margin for themselves and retailers (meaning they make more money per unit than a $10 articulated basic figure)

Just wanted to see if anyone else is having issues storing these figures in the clam shell cases Hasbro made. I had some Pro Star cases and they worked.

I was surprised they worked. I expected the cards to be too tall. They will not fit in the cases the Club was selling.

The end of the DC Mattel Shampoo bottle figures were great. They had swell articulation. The only thing missing was ankle rockers. If Joe is that it will be fantastic!
