I lucked out finally!!! W1 figures were in a box on a pallet in front of the toy section. The app said 5 were in stock, but all 6 were there. Within 20 min of checking out, the app said out of stock. I looked for the Retro figure assorted option on the app. Happy hunting!!!

I agree with this mostly, except for Transformers. I seem to see full shelves of Transformers all the time. (Note, I don't collect transformers, so maybe these aren't in-demand transformers, but I definitely see plenty).

I've seen two restocks at both Walmarts in my area, so I'm starting feel fairly comfortable about the availability of these. I think I just got super worked up when things first started trickling out, because I really wanted to see Joes in stores again. I think we'll still need to hunt diligently for them, but we shouldn't be doomed to jacked up Ebay prices or anything.

I just got Destro in the mail today and after opening him up I noticed he is much taller than the 50th Destro. I like this retro version better actually than the 50th one.

Hoping you're right. My day one preorders of Wave 1 still delayed (thankfully not yet canceled).

Given my skepticism, went ahead and got Wave 2 for $60 shipped on eBay. Willing to pay $7 more per figure to avoid going into a WM (a) at all and (b) in the middle of a pandemic.
