I've been travelling out of state this week for graduate school classes on campus. So, I've hit up several Walmarts and plan to visit more late this week. What I've been seeing is the stores setting their planograms and putting the stock on the pegs. Every Walmart I have visited has had pegs for the new "retro" figures. One had empty pegs, but an AWE Striker, and the other stores have had Wave 1 figures. I was able to pick up another Baroness figure to customize. I am hoping to find Wave 2 somewhere in the St. Louis area.

I can't stand how Walmart treats third-party product listings like they are their own when they are out of stock. $40 for Snake Eyes?

Yeah, that bothers me, too. You can filter by "retailer" after a search to narrow it down to only Wal-Mart items, but that filter goes away every time. If they insist on allowing 3rd-party sellers on their web store then I wish they would at least let you save a preference to exclude them from your search results by default. Amazon suffers from the same problem, though their lack of physical stores makes it mildly less-irritating there.

Wave 1 is starting to show up a bit more in the Indianapolis area. Still haven't seen wave 2.

This retro Scarlett really is amazing. The lipstick is a bit goth for my taste, but otherwise it looks great. I hope new heads and gear is the future direction for Retro because if so I can see myself re-buying a lot of the 25th line. The redo's of vehicles is also a nice touch and I hope we get as deep as a W.H.A.L.E as I never had that vehicle as a kid and now that I'm grown and have money, I'd like to throw some of it at that ship right quick! Oh and speaking of ship... please Hasbro redo Shipwreck in this line. The 25th version had a mushy face sculpt that I never quite got into. Shipwreck, Falcon and Mainframe are IMHO the most in need of a 'face printing technology' redo of their 25th figure.

I don't see a Whale happening. It would be just too expensive to produce nowadays, especially for a niche such as the Retro GI Joe line. Maybe in the future as a Haslab item, and that's a very big maybe...
