Aside from one Classified Snake Eyes, I've not seen one Joe product in any Wal-Mart; nor have I even seen tags for them on the shelves. I know I'll get a HISS if I see it, but that'll probably be it.

Even though I was able to grab the AWE earlier today, I'm already beginning to remember why I stopped collecting in the first place. Stock is a joke in my area, and even when Brickseek says things are in stock, I'm still running into consistent empty shelves, and even more clueless employees. Unfortunately the days of my youth, in just walking into stores and having my pick of whatever I wanted has long since past. It's online or bust in 2020.

Have you guys noticed what is missing from the conversation people claim is a mantra for Joe fans? Not a single person has said they will wait for clearance. Next time someone says that, you can tell them to go fuck off.

Went to a walmart that shows 6 each of Awe Striker and Hiss, since my Awe Striker got delayed.
They were not on the shelf. Turns out this store put their toy pallets into storage containers in the back lot so they could focus on stocking essentials... so they wont be available for months.. probably not til they start stocking christmas toys |

My HISS preorder from launch day arrived yesterday (in an envelope, ugh). I'll open it in a day or two to assess its condition, but the envelope doesn't look rough. The Walmart app says everything else is being prepared for shipping and arriving today, so I'm waiting for the dreaded email that a lot of you seem to have gotten.
My buddy was in PA last night and bought a case (2) of the HISS Tanks, so they're making their way out east. I'll probably make it out to a store this week here in NJ. Also, someone here mentioned Walmart doesn't let you change your shipping address. How TF does a retailer the size of Walmart not have a setup to let you do that? We're moving next month and not even sure if anyone will be here at our current address by the time the Classified Zartan & Infantry figures ship in March. |

I'd already received several notifications that my 2 Strikers and the first wave of figures were pushed back until 10/6, but the website never reflected this update. This morning, I received yet another "order delayed" e-mail, but this time there wasn't even a date attached to it. The website *still* says the remaining items in my order are set to arrive today, but that's obviously not going to happen. I suppose it'll change tomorrow?
I don't feel I have much right to complain. My Hiss Tanks arrived promptly, and those were what I was so excited about getting when I placed the order back in July. I don't know if I can actually fit two AWE Strikers on my display table, and I know that my only plans for the figures were to hang them on the wall. That said, I do have to wonder what the point of preordering is anymore. The Striker seems to be in stock at several Walmarts within driving distance (though not my local one), and I'm pretty well sold on the fact that, once I come across one, I'll be canceling what's left in my preorder and closing the book on my retro collection for the time being. I'm sure I'll come across the figures sooner or later, but I don't like that I've got 80ish bucks worth of stuff waiting in preorder limbo like it is, especially if Walmart isn't going to give me any real indication of when it might arrive. |

I walked into the Alamogordo Walmart today and what looked like two cases of wave 2 Retro Figures on the freaking shelve. I was gleaming from ear to ear for the find. Bought two Road blocks, one Destro and one Scarlet.

My pre-ordered HISS was waiting for me when I got home from work. 3 HISS tanks in 1 day is a good day.

So, new guy here. probably like many new members (hopefully), played with Joes in the 80s and am now collecting to relive a bit of childhood. Anyway, here's my experience: buddy of mine found a HISS at a local Wal-Mart in Indy, he couldn't find an AWE striker. On Friday morning I found one in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, on the top shelf where they keep extra toys. Then, driving to see my mom later that day I stopped at a Wal-Mart in Plymouth, Indiana and found three HISS and three AWE. No figs. Picked up an AWE for my buddy. Best thing was today. Found Scarlett, Destro and Roadblock at the Wal-Mart in LaPorte, Indiana. Found on the top shelf. No vehicles though. I didn't expect to find these. My online order is set to drop in January. I'm still out of luck on SE, SS and Baroness because I missed the pre-order. I'll keep checking the top shelf at small town WMs and hope for the best.
