Are they supposed to be exclusive? I must have missed that part. Well, I typically don't care for the idea of exclusives, but at least it'll be at the one large retailer I have easy access to.

Agreed, especially in the respect that I'll be able to buy them without having to do so from a scalper. The TRU exclusives used to drive me up the wall, as the nearest was a 1.5 hour drive from me.

My personal guess, 2-4 waves as a test to see if it would be feasible to do an anniversary line in 2022.

I hope for more. I hope we see stuff we either saw only once post-2000 (like the HISS 2), or have not seen since vintage (Wolverine, bridge-layer).

That's a great question!

I am guessing that the Star Wars Retro line was probably planned for 3 waves
(A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi). But each wave probably also depends on the success of the preceding wave. If all the waves are popular then it seems reasonable that they might consider more waves until they recreate the entire (Kenner) line of figures.

For G.I. Joe, it's hard to say. I feel like the retro line is meant to mirror characters from the Snake Eyes movie and possibly Classified. Like you said, if they sell like hot cakes, then anything is possible.

That's one area I've always been lucky in. I live in a rural area, and have never met another Joe collector IRL. If Walmart carries it, I'll find it on shelves.
