But Hasbro has never put a Duke Head on a Flint body. Or Gung Ho lowers on Ret RB legs and knees. That is the "template" that we are talking about. Why would Hasbro completely not consider this? They don't have to tool anything new. Just put together parts that haven't been put together before, and then paint them in V1 colors, which they haven't done with these parts before. IDK. I guess we will have to wait 3 more weeks to find out.

I have never pre-ordered anything from Walmart. Is this common for them to clearance items in stores even though they haven't shipped the pre-orders yet? Years ago when that Return of the Jedi deleted scene wave came out I scored the whole wave at $3 a piece right off the regular pegs. Same with the first wave of vintage Solo movie figures, $3.

Question for you guys. I ended up making more than one order when I pre ordered these. I want to cancel all or part of an order, but I was thinking they might arrive damaged so I might wait and have a better chance of getting a set in good shape. How would it work if I wait and then wanted to return some of it (without leaving the house)? Or would it be better to cancel now, and can I cancel a part of an order?

Thanks. Even if they’re not damaged, just changed my mind, they’ll let me return them?

I am not sure as the items I have returned have all been damaged and in one case it was a wrong item. In those cases they didn't charge me anything for returns, I just printed label and scheduled a pickup.

Yeah, that store probably got that side cap feature others have seen, but the line wasn't given a "home" in the new modular for the holidays. Or the SKU wasn't "refreshed" in the system.
I saw my local store put Star Wars Retro figures on clearance, only to reset them to full price a couple weeks later. Walmart gonna Walmart I guess.

I’m trying to say the following:
HHFF’s builds are being bandied about with the “hey Hasbro, do these!” as if the builds are hugely unique. They aren’t- Hasbro has released figures on many of those builds already- or nearly. Hasbro using them as templates is silly, as Hasbro made the templates to begin with, for the most part. On the contrary, I think figures that look similar are likely, but I don’t think Hasbro requires HHFF for inspiration to get there. After all, the customs are 80% repainted Hasbro builds. As far as some of the micro details that HHFF is known for, I do think that’s beyond what Hasbro will give us. None of this should be interpreted as a slight to HHFF. My reverence for his work is well documented. What I (and I think others) am saying is "Look, Hasbro, you have already created the perfect parts to create a great build for these figures. Just use the basic recipe that HHFF and other customizers have kit-bashed together." But I'm not saying total kit-bashes either, like HHFF. I just don't see Hasbro using Gung-Ho's lower legs with a Roadblock body. I'm not sure how the molding "trees" work. So, my "template" suggestions are DOTD Flint for Duke, FSS Tiger Force Roadblock for the new Roadblock, and personally, I'd rather see a repaint of Resolute Scarlett than any other existing build. Since no one is discussing Destro, I guess we're all pretty much agreed they'll use the 50th parts, maybe with vac-mold, chrome head? I just hope his legs are more rigid. Jason
