I kind of liked the Valor vs Venom and DTC lines. The plastic used was durable, and some of the designs were pretty cool like Dart's, and Cross Hair's.

The DTC line was almost evolving into the modern era. New head/neck construction, new arm construction, just with o-rings. Major Barrage and Cover Girl display amazing with ME. Throw in double-knees and standard ankle articulation, and I'd prefer them to ME. It's too bad that Barrage, whose filecard billed him as a behemoth and who towered over most o-ring figures (vintage or newsculpt),is dwarfed by so many ME figures, especially those who use the Retaliation Roadblock body
But back on topic, was just playing with my boy last night. Got out my anniversary AWEs. Judging from the date stamp, it's still the same tooling from '85, just with a different roll cage and modified foot pegs. If THAT'S what Hasbro is using, that's 35-year-old tooling. Talk about getting the most out of something Last edited by xasonnex; 03-24-2020 at 11:53 AM.. |

I feel that Hasbro learned from those figs because they released POC/Renegades/30th which are some of the absolute best GI Joe figures ever released. |

Some of the 25th figs turned out great but many were just terrible in my opinion because there were too many offending parts that simply never died. Duke arms, wrists that always pointed down, elbows that couldn't bend to anywhere close to 90 degrees, and diaper crotches are just a few off the top of my head.

Just looking for a 3.75 snake eyes for my 28 inch optimus prime. Hoping that's what this line is. Totally new to Joe's. What's an o-ring figure?

Basically the old school Joes that are held together with a black rubber o-ring at the waist. There's a differentiation because modern GIJoe figures have completely gotten rid of that, for better or worse (depends on who you ask).
