The problem with the FLAGG has always been the design for playability vs the shear size of the toy.
The control tower opens one direction while the play area of the flight deck is on the opposite side. If they could somehow design the control tower where you could simply put one side of the FLAGG toward a wall and still access the tower that would be great. If they were to ever do a Haslab FLAGG, I would be down for an updated Resolute-style FLAGG with circular command center and tower. The top of the command center could come off and then maybe you could access the control tower from the back instead of the side. Jason |

Yeah, man, it's a really neat toy. So many cool features and details. There's definitely an old school vibe to it that takes me back to being a kid, and that's the whole point of this for me.

I prefer a Cobra base since the Flagg is way too big and I will not have space to displayed at home...

Anyone know the difference between a play set and a vehicle? People keep using them interchangeably. And the meaning of play set is all fubar. Now we have Disney calling figure sets and roleplaying toys play sets. By their logic practically anything with more than one piece could be!
There are some grey areas, like the MCC, but it's usually pretty clear. VAMP is a vehicle, HQ is a playset, and the Flagg is a playset representing a vehicle

Oh, and Hasbro? If you really want to go Retro, add these little catalogs in the vehicle boxes showing the up coming toys.

And bring back Flag points too!!! They can use a QR code on the insert so you can log Flag points to go towards online purchases.

Yes - I'd really like to see reproductions of those old catalogs in the boxes of the new retro ARAH vehicles; that would a great shot of nostalgia. However, I doubt this would happen.
Re: the pic. above, I remember that was an ad for the 1986 ARAH line - very cool. Thanks for posting. Last edited by Doctor Venom; 07-31-2020 at 10:15 PM.. |

Very cool - Thanks! I haven't seen this since the '80's. This brings back great memories of collecting the ARAH line back in the day.
I got the most recent Tomahawk (it came out during the 25th Anniversary line), but never had the original. The Terror Drome was fantastic - never got this, either. The original '86 Serpentor is probably the best 3.75" version of the figure, and beats the crummy 25th anniversary figure, hands down. Last edited by Doctor Venom; 07-31-2020 at 11:08 PM.. |
