Yes, pretty much. As long as it doesn't have anything glaring like googly eyes on the Indiana Jones ones had but that was in 2008 (even though Hasbro has no excuse for that eff up).

The only thing that's been reasonably guessed at that I would buy none of would be straight 25th reissues.
I would buy very few O-rings (actually just one, CC). I would be all in on modern sculpts with ARAH looks.

The 30th/POC era was the best blend of figure construction & proportion. They were just a bit too big for the vehicles.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Star-Wars...gure/757437503 Sorry I don’t really collect GB toys so I really can’t speak to them. I do collect the retro SW G1 transformers lines. As for the Transformers it turns out we were both off the mark, as they go by “Vintage.” But I guess we’ll know soon enough anyway.

Yeah they really were. I wouldn’t mind if Hasbro just upscale to old vehicles to fit them.

Does it matter at this point? To me it seems you guys are arguing semantics. Either by "Retro" or "Classics" or "Vintage", they're all reissues of original toys, be it Star Wars, Transformers or Ghostbusters.
Twenty-four hours to go? What's the time of the livestream in GMT terms?

If I could choose, I would like these to be all new sculpts with the best new modern articulation and paint apps. They would be based DIRECTLY off the original card art and come on the original card art. They would also all be able to replicate the original art when displayed. Also, Hasbro would announce a new Classics line that is just like the line I described but is 6" and comes in boxes like the classified line that have a small poster inside of the original card art. Hey, I can dream.
At least until tomorrow. |
