Simplicity is what I miss most. My aging ass can’t keep track of accessories anymore.

That was not done for Walmart. That was done when Takara released the minibots in Japan, back in 2004 and 2008. It's the equivalent of the Comic 3 pack line, o-ring figures with updated sculpts.
Actullay, those *could* be the molds being used for this Retro line. It wouldn't be what I personally want and I wouldn't be so surprised, but it would be better than modern stuff. While the Baroness and Destro in that line are not my favorite, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow that came with issue #21 actually are. Those two in Retro cards would be amazing! *starts googling YES!!! gifs to post Friday when they announce o-rings as Retro.

I am getting a little anxious to finally see what the retro line is all about - I would personally love to get faithful vintage reproduction figures from the ARAH line - even if they are just the same mold and figure because brand new plastic is better than 30+ year old plastic in that regard. If it ends up being just a re-hash of the 25th anniversary stuff I won't be disappointed but will feel a little mislead since this is being marketed as a retro line. I will still do my best to buy up all the figures but as I think about it I will probably skip out on the Hiss and Awe Striker because I have them already from the 25th anniv line. I do hope this first wave is successful and we do see more iconic vintage vehicles released though - especially the WHALE.

They are listed as Retro series in both Walmart’s site and on Bigbadtoystore (whatever is still available anyway). The only line that I am aware of that used Classics was the 2008-2016 Dc and MotU, which were Marvel Legends style remakes.

Only the 82 wave and straight arm. And I’d be all for it. They could release and swivel arm grip a year later and double dip on the sales. Everyone would upgrade, just like many of us did in 1983.

Not that it matters, but my research does not show that. Walmart definitely lists the ghostbusters as classics. I did uncover an older line called Retro for Ghostbusters, which appears to be fashion dolls.

All that crap just gets tossed in a box. I knew it was an issue, because I was trying to sell figures off, and my son had successfully raided the gun box on multiple occasions, leaving most of my listings as, what you see is what you get, please don't ask if I have something not in the picture.

There are actually a lot of differences in the TF reissues that to the untrained eye look the same. Which is probably what Hasbro was going for. Hardcore fans would know the difference when it comes to their collection while casual fans are happy to just own the figure.
