Can confirm:
IMHO, This line would have done MUCH better if; 1) the price was better and 2) they could actually be found in stores.

We only had Ross stores open around me starting maybe 2 years ago and their toy sections are always practically empty. There is about a 4-foot wide section of pegs that is generally 70% or more empty and about 20-30 feet of shelving with absolute junk and not much of that, even. I don't think I've ever seen two of anything either. I'm always amazed when people show Ross hauls of any kind.
I did find an Ollie's with the blue HISS at least. It will be nice if the AWE Striker and/or black HISS shows up there too, but that's probably hoping for too much. Honestly, with as long ago as they canned this line I'm surprised these are showing up at liquidators now, so who knows what else may show up?

Ross has steadily decreased the size of their toy sections.
During the Modern Era, I'd go to Ross to see what they had whenever someone on here posted that Joes were showing up on discount at Ross. But in general, the toy sections at both Ross and Marshalls have a decreased footprint. The strangest thing ever is that I would drive to different stores looking for specific Gi Joe items and never find them but they would later show up at Ross! An example is the Target Exclusive Serpent Armor, I stopped off at multiple Targets and never once found them. A few months later, I found a few at Ross. To this day I'm still curious about how distribution works or if store-employees with access bought them as soon as they arrived and sold them on EBay. I'd rather buy from a local brick and mortar store even if it's a national chain in order to support local jobs but I just order online. Times are changing fast, where I live, the local Boston Market, Wendy's, and KFC went out of business. |

I really wish they would continue this line. Stalker and Grunt are just plain awesome, great looking figures. I also started buying the first couple of Classifieds that came out, and then stopped, full-stop. I wanted to support GI Joe, but I quickly realized that these 1:12 scale stuff is not for me. I have been tempted by the Hiss Tank, but stayed firm in the end.
I'm with you on Classified as I buy very little of it. I will say the packaging is great and when they modernized the ARAH designs, it looks awesome! 6" scale isn't for me though. I'd rather buy 4" or O-Ring retro. |

If Ross or Ollies puts out any Grunt action figures, that would be the time to army build some O13 figures!

The problems were: 1. Distribution, as you noted. 2. The figure selection was AWFUL. Scarlett was an inspired choice (as was Roadblock, kinda) but so many of the other figs were re-releases of figures that no one needed again. By the time they got to Stalker / Grunt / Cobra Trooper and Officer, the point had been well and truly missed. Hell even something like Leatherneck would have been better. |

I'm still holding out that Hasbro will go back to the 4" line in a year or so.
I really hope that Hasbro gets back to something like POC-quality 4" figures in the classic character styles. I don't want to collect the Classified 6" figures because I have too much invested in the 4", plus, I don't like the hybrid designs of sort of classic mixed with space/sci-fi armor and weapons. Agreed fellas. I?m down for more of the 4? ?Ultimates? that snuck out in the Retaliation line. That CC, SS, SE, and Firefly were fantastic. The PoC/30 ARAH figures were also amazing and/or more ARAH O-Rings. As for distribution I can tell you that it has rarely been a Hasbro issue. Maybe one or two waves of figures from across all of their lines were tough to get over the past two years.

I?m looking at available stock on Hasbro?s site, for sold out Walmart exclusives right now! I?ve sold through my first order and reordered. Stuff that?s selling for well over MSRP on EBay.Why these chains aren?t restocking these is just nuts. I?m happy to eat their lunch but it is not good for the brand. My few cases don?t do what a proper retail chain can do, if they?d just reorder the readily available, in demand items. Hasbro gets an incorrect notion that these don?t sell while we?re going nuts to find them. All the better for you I suppose CC
