Even when I just walk past a toy department, I rarely see more than a couple of people down the aisles, and they're usually adults, either single men or moms/dads with a small child in the cart. I very rarely see a boy or two in there excitedly looking around like I used to. It was genuinely dead this past holiday season in the toy aisles. People nowadays tend to only go into Walmarts for groceries and household shit, and Targets are apparently full of moms taking selfies in changing rooms.

I'm to the point I'm not embarrassed to be in the toy dept. cause it's nothing but grown-ups looking for toys too.

Right!? I always got a kick out of the dude's on a mission-types who rush into the aisle, bee-line it straight for whatever they're after, do the quick flick through the pegs, often the double-check and then fast-walk their ass off to the next store.

I sort of do that, but that's really because I'm that way with everything I buy. I always know exactly what I'm after, and the less time my anti-social ass has to spend fantasizing about running grannies over with my 🛒, the better.

Yeah, I'm generally a get in, get out sort too when shopping, but there's an obvious rushing and almost frantic vibe to these guys. It's the odd stiff-legged fast-walk and their furtive nature that makes me laugh. They remind me of like prairie dogs or something, only slow and uncoordinated.
