On another note, I finally opened a beaten up retro Baroness today. I belittled the decision to have the glasses not be glued on, but I think I see why they did it. They are MUCH clearer than some of my Cobra Island Baronesses. I wonder if keeping them separate is why the plastic didn't fog up.

The face painting apps, though, aren't any better. Over all the figure is inferior to any CI release that doesn't have bad fogging on the glasses because of the missing paint apps and the one-tone body.

Do you think it's worth getting a carded Baroness to swap heads with CI Baroness?

Both of my CIs have really warped and fogged up glasses. I tried doing the return thing a couple times and never got a good one as far as glasses go.

Recently I saw several Star Wars TVC Koska Reeves each with crumpled cardbacks at Target.

A while back, I did see Target with several Marvel Legends Abomination BAF wave figures that looked like someone sat on the case. They were marked down like half price.

Mattel seems very aware their MOTU cardbacks are very delicate and ship/pack them accordingly. Every now and then there's a modest bend, but I just received Pig-Man and He-Man 200X yesterday from BBTS: really good cardbacks, near mint. Perfectly content.

Meanwhile, it seems about 1 in 20 of the GI Joe retro cardbacks aren't destroyed in some significant way. Either put them in cardboard boxes like the Mattel Creations releases or just give up.

I'm guessing the smaller cards on the ME/Star Wars figures help keep from curving too much, that's interesting with the figures you saw though since both lines use the same cardstock I think. Even ME Stalkers discounted in Wal-Mart's junk-aisle weren't that torn up.

All Walmart 4" Retro ME cardbacks I saw in store were in decent condition except one Scarlett which looked like an online order return with torn peghole.

Here's the first figure I found on pegs, the majority I bought in stores none of which were torn up, some were online but only my doubles of Duke & Lady Jaye I bought by mistake that shipped separately were crushed

I'm getting my money's worth out of my Premium membership. After seeing a bunch of figures destroyed in one box I ordered Gung Ho, Lady Jaye, and Baroness under 3 separate orders so they'd all be in their own box. Hopefully. We'll see how that goes.
