Yeah, I would have considered those mint condition if they came in a Walmart envelope. They look like they were bent being removed from the case.

On another note, I finally opened a beaten up retro Baroness today. I belittled the decision to have the glasses not be glued on, but I think I see why they did it. They are MUCH clearer than some of my Cobra Island Baronesses. I wonder if keeping them separate is why the plastic didn't fog up.

The face painting apps, though, aren't any better. Over all the figure is inferior to any CI release that doesn't have bad fogging on the glasses because of the missing paint apps and the one-tone body.

I'm with you, I like the trim on her outfit. That's interesting with the glasses though, it was thought that it was just to increase the number of items in the bubble, like Zartan's hood, but your thought is more sensible.

just got 3 of the retro figures from Pulse. Surprise - ALL DAMAGED.

the shipping box was 100% fine, not a single blemish.
the problem is the way Pulse packed them.... like idiots.

1. the shipping box is about 3 times too big. So the figures will bounce around inside no matter what.
2. They placed the figures inside super randomly and in a manner that they can not lay flat. All 3 figures were placed with the bubbles on the same side.. as opposed to "layering" them like they would be when shipped to retail stores. The figure on the bottom was placed bubble down, so his card was laying at an angle and all of the weight of everything else smashing down, giving it a nice crease.

This isn't rocket science, everyone knows that these figures "nest" with each other when you stack. You put the first figure with the card flat on the bottom, the second figure you flip upside down and put the bubble opposite of the 1st... and so on and so on.

disappointed with Pulse.. only difference between them and Walmart is Walmart uses boxes that are too small or plastic bags.. Pulse uses boxes that are too big but they still pack them in a manner that will guarantee damage during shipping

But there are also some of us who played the MOC lottery and bought multiples to get our pick of the litter.

I thought Pulse was a sure bet for packing quality but my Destro did not survive. Luckily, I had a WM Destro in good shape.

If I wanted these on card, they sure are. Maybe not relative to others’ terrible pics, but they are bent/creased/curled up.

If neither Walmart nor Pulse can deliver these products in a way that doesn't make them look like they've been dragged from the back of a Ford Bronco every inch from the warehouse to the customer's door, it's time to change the cardbacks or kill this line.

It's outrageous to see such consistent damage in a product explicitly stated to have the package be part of the collector-product experience.

Between Pulse and Walmart I ended up with 1 MOMC Baroness, Lady Jaye, and Gung-ho. The other 5 were damaged to varying degrees, I'll probably end up donating one of the Destros unless someone wants to trade their MOMC for my beat up copy =D The funny thing is I still feel like I made out better than some other folks. Maybe?

I don't remember the ME Retro figures being crushed up like that when I found them in stores, of course the workers put them out 30min prior but the only ones I got crushed were figures shipped online by themselves in the mailers
