I got my two retro carded figures from Walmart, same story as many others here.
Gung-Ho shipped in a box with plenty of packing material, pristine card. Lady Jaye shipped in an envelope, card kind of bent, but not too badly. I really like both of these figures more than their previous releases. Gung-Ho especially is just perfect! |

Received all of my retro orders from WM now. It?s not pretty:
Lady Jaye: Shipped in a trash bag, mangled card and bubble. Baroness: Shipped in a box with too many air pillows, card bent up. Destro #1: Shipped in a bubble bag, card completely folded at the top and ripped. Destro #2: Shipped in a box, card bent up. Also, this box was supposed to have a Destro #3 but there was only one figure. Gung-Ho #1 & #2: Shipped together in a bubble bag, cards completely bent up and bubbles crushed. Gung-Ho #3: Shipped in a box with another piece of cardboard in it, but the card is still all bent up. Ugh. Glad I ordered Storm Shadow from Pulse! |

Ah great idea for reuse of the Coil! Speaking of reuse ideas. Hear me out Lenny & Emily. I was thinking another use for the excellent B.A.T. mold would be to make a 'Mad Max' version suited specifically for the Dreadnocks. A model that they've spray painted, put all kinds of outlandish tools, gadgets and weapons on and will not only act as an ersatz additional member of the crew (with upgraded intelligence chip of course) but could potentially be repainted into variants if Hasbro wanted to make an army (of sorts) out of them. The inspiration being the robot from Rogue One that was repurposed for use by the rebellion, but this kind of thing has been done many times in other forms of media.

Returning products/getting refunds at WM is incredibly easy, and since I'm getting all 4 shipped from Pulse this week or next, went ahead and returned all but Lady Jaye for a refund. Now, it Pulse messes the packaging up, at least I'll merely be back at square one.

I am not a big fan of the newer Star Wars movies, but i do love the OT.I like to get some Black Series or VC figures here or there, but i very rarely if ever see any new figures on the pegs at Wal-Mart or Target, they either sell out super fast or they just don't get anything new around me,its just sad.I think the last figure i bought in store was 3 3/4'' Droids Boba Fett, but even that i had to ask for it in the stock room.

They email you USPS return labels. I slapped 'em on the bags and jammed 'em into postal boxes (I live in the city and the only option for shipping boxes is to drop them off at a post office, which is mildly inconvenient). But, I reason, if Wal-Mart didn't care about the condition they shipped them to me in, I am under no obligation to care about the condition they are returned in.

With 4 more retro cardbacks to go for Walmart, I'm pretty sure the next round of figures will probably be delivered in just bad as shaped which will be a shame because I'm sure having Snake Eyes, Storm Shadown, and CG MOC would look great in any collection. With how flimsy the cardbacks are just looking at them wrong will damage them.

I'm gonna assume nobody has seen any of these in a Wal-Mart in the wild? That's probably your best bet for not getting a banged up card. Gung-Ho appears to be one of the more sought after figures in Retro, but you may be able to find the rest on shelves at some point.
