Make sure you make Walmart feel it. Be pains in the asses. Let them know they need to ship these with care.
It's not GE's fault if fucking Walmart ships you lightbulbs in a plastic mailer envelope. Tell them they need to request a dedicated mailer box from their manufacturer! But even then, they should ship anything fragile WITH ADEQUATE PROTECTION. Walmart are the cheapest assholes on Earth. Last edited by TheRealDubya; 08-01-2022 at 11:19 PM.. |

My experience this past week is that you can give as much grief to their CS as you can possibly fathom, but nothing is ever going to change in their shipping or packing practices.

Right, it's not the CS people in the stores. It's the warehouses...still find it odd how you can get four figures shipped four different ways.

Two things will trickle up in large orgs:
1.) Feedback about X in VOLUME 2.) Losses (in the form of all the returns they eat) This has to really frustrate Hasbro. |

I'm really starting to rethink this line.
I doubt any of them will appreciate in value like the old school Joes. Will we ever see a boxed Storm Shadow going for $3K on Ebay? I doubt it. Too many people will be saving them MIB for that. Back in the 80s, no one could have dreamed that would be the case. They just opened everything. |

I know, I know... broken record...
But truly, if they reveal Zandar, or Zarana & Zandar as these awesome punk twins, I'm going to buy every single Dreadnok they make, including finding a Master of Disguise Zartan! And motorbikes! We need bikes for them.

Unfortunately, SW VC collectors like myself have been dealing with Walmart's complete inability to properly handle, package and ship collector items like action figures and toys for 4 years now. The VC has had really thin and easy-to-bend cards since its return in 2018. There has been major backlash and outcries to take exclusives away from WM - and nothing has really changed in 4 years. At least when it comes to WM.
Hasbro is finally going back to the more rigid cars stock only now, but it took 4 years. So unfortunately, I don't see much changing here if the Joe retro line is already pretty much over save for Storm Shadow, Zartan, the CG and Snake Eyes. Sadly, seeing all of these thrashed items and hearing all of these horror stories is nothing new to me and is par for the course as far as WM's ineptitude when dealing with toys - specifically ones on cards. Just sucks to see it now affecting this Joe retro line too. I feel everyone's pain. Especially MOCers. I guess this experience may be to new to some folks on here, but WM has been effing up on exclusives for years and nothing has ever been done to help the situation. They've got our money, which is all that really matters to such a gigantic mega corporation like WM.

Just kidding! Bikes would be awesome. They could even use the Coil mold... just make some tweaks and different paint apps. |

Ah great idea for reuse of the Coil! Speaking of reuse ideas. Hear me out Lenny & Emily. I was thinking another use for the excellent B.A.T. mold would be to make a 'Mad Max' version suited specifically for the Dreadnocks. A model that they've spray painted, put all kinds of outlandish tools, gadgets and weapons on and will not only act as an ersatz additional member of the crew (with upgraded intelligence chip of course) but could potentially be repainted into variants if Hasbro wanted to make an army (of sorts) out of them. The inspiration being the robot from Rogue One that was repurposed for use by the rebellion, but this kind of thing has been done many times in other forms of media.
