So they are faking it? Their acting skills fooled me. I know one guy said he as a kid did kitbashing with the o-ring figures, but later mentioned never reading the comics. I would guess fans would seek out the comics after watching the cartoon.

Sure, why not? Hollywood does it all the time at movie premieres.

I have never read a Larry Hama ARAH comic. I grew up playing with GI Joes and have been a fan ever since. I grew up watching the two cartoons.

Just because they supposedly canned the last team doesn't mean the new team isn't also fans. Joe was huge in the 80s, there can be more than one Joe fan that was hired by Hasbro. |

I am right there with you. I didn?t really know there was a comic until I was in high school or college. Then I started casually buying some. I have only read a handful.

I was browsing bossfight's site and their sculptors' bio pages had quite a few list experience working on Joes, etc. for Hasbro, but when I clicked the samples of their credits, did not exist.

Try links below. Had hoped they had done a classic Scarlett in this style. Had hoped it was hidden away back when these were originally done (2012?), and would finally be revealed and released with the recent Walmart Retro Collection or even for upcoming 40th anniversary (new 5 box set??). qAlas... https://toyhypeusa.com/2014/03/03/bo...igure-gallery/ https://m.facebook.com/media/set/?se...4142171&type=1 |

At first just now, I didn't think it was unusual for kids back then to be unaware of the comic--just like any comic in the last 40 years. But then remembered that there were just as many commercials for the comic as there for the toys. GI Joe was pretty unique in that aspect. If you missed them, you need to back and watch them.
