You know, even if Walmart stops carrying it and the Retro line is a small line, there's no reason they can't sell it on Hasbro Pulse. It's a store front, and you know would be "for the fans..."

Wouldn't this resolve alot of the logistical issues...just order directly from Hasbro instead of having to partner with Wal-Mart. Cut out the middle man, not worry about paying distribution costs (transport/fuel etc.) to get everything across the country. Perhaps I am simplifying it all. |

I agree.

And even if Hasbro would consider selling directly, any research into the Direct to Consumer (DTC) debacle on Hasbrotoyshop 15 years ago would probably nip that in the bud. We had our chance to buy GI Joe product direct from Hasbro after Walmart et al declined to purchase and carry a GI Joe line any longer, and there weren't enough of us to make it viable. HTS had to clearance tons of product for a pittance (I remember ROCCs selling for $10 on there). So, anyway, besides a preorder/go fund me model ala Haslab, I seriously doubt Hasbro is much interested in selling direct to us again.

Hasbro isn't a boutique outfit who sells a few thousand units directly to the consumer, they're a major corporation who sells millions of units to major retailers. That's literally how they make money, and everything they do comes down to how many units they can sell to the likes of Walmart, Target, etc. Technically speaking, we, the consumers, are not Hasbro's "customers". Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, etc are their primary/priority customers. Smaller etailers like BBTS are their secondary customers. We are Hasbro's customers in name only.

I mean I get what you're saying with Hasbro, but a lot of the stuff they make they sell as exclusives for themselves and people like BBTS. The DTC was also long ago and buying online is pretty much how most of us order our figures now anyways. |

Hasbro would be a Real American Hero if they moved production stateside. Not saying this would fix any of the problems mentioned so far.

You could 100% do this through Haslab if they wanted. I mean you could be like "these 10 figures for X dollars" and if you don't get enough backers than you don't get a run of figures.
