I wish they'd do more stuff from the later parts of the ARAH line. Easy repaints using the molds they have could give them some stuff from the later part of the line.
I know a lot of people aren't huge on Eco Force, Ninja Force, etc but as a kid who was with the line from roughly 86-94, I want to see some of the later stuff. I might be in the minority though... Yes I know the club did a lot of that stuff, but I would love to see it as non convention and FSS stuff. |

I feel like Sky Strikers and Rattlers are right around the corner. Maybe they are timing them with the Top Gun release?

Get ready for 40th anniversary oringers!
…and save the “all molds sank to the bottom of the ocean” crap. This is 2021; I’m sure they can be replicated if Hasbro wants to.

They've said o-ring isn't off the table (at least as far as I interpret things they've said on the record), so that's encouraging. Personally I'm more about modern engineering even if the plastic is a bit rubbery and you can't crack the figures and replace parts as easily, but I don't hate the 80's stuff by any stretch. There's plenty of that though, so I'd prefer something I don't have even if it's a 25th body and a new updated head, at least it's something.

Grunt is a great repaint of Stalker. Love the look and accessories - if this were used for a builder, I'd buy several of them (side note, I know it's not everyone's priority, and Super7 is doing this with their ReAction figures, but it'd be nice to see builders have varying ethnicities - or in the case of the Joe side, builders at all).
Grunt is one of my favorite figures in this line except for his face paint application. Goodness, what a mess. The one I got that I opened has these massive clumsy eyebrows; it's bad enough that I prefer the "early stages of male-pattern baldness" original o-ring by comparison.

Slight quibble: at a constant rate of inflation, a $1.95 figure from 1982 should cost $5.50 today, give or take.
$12.93 in 2021 dollars is just a hair over $4.50 in 1982 dollars. These aren't the same figures as we got at the time, but adjusting for inflation, they're more twice as expensive as the originals. Which, hey, I can afford that - but the craftsmanship for the price leaves a lot to be desired.

@ Ozzie: I agree. While that may have been a factor (excuse) during the last period of reissues, I don't see how they can lean on that with technology being what it is. If the average Joe can magically print items out of plastic in the comfort of his own home, surely the gigantic corporation can figure out how to remake their own old products. The only thing I really see holding that up is the fact that they seem bound and determined to do away with metal completely if they can.
