I searched and didn't find anything so figured you guys might want to see this.
Heritage Auctions auctioned off a GI Joe #21 Cover Original Art and it sold for $312000 including buyers premium. Surprised that I posted this info on multiple Facebook forums and no one knew about it and none of the main Joe sites I go to have shown anything. I would think this would be huge news.

I feel bad for the artists that created all this stuff back in the 80s and 90s. Now that comics collecting has come full circle to the point where 80s and 90s classics are probably the most sought-after stuff for middle-aged people (some with money) that they're paying these insane prices for the originals.
That probably sold at a convention in 1985 for like $300 and Larry was probably happy to get it back then. Now it's worth 1000 times that. Same thing happened just recently with the iconic X-Men 268 cover by Jim Lee. Sold it at a con for $650 back in 1990; it just went on auction for $300,000. |

Yeah copper age stuff is doing crazy prices lately. I bought a GI Joe #21 75cent Canadian version like 10 years ago for like $40 and I sent it off a few months back to CGC and it came back a 9.2 which I am very pleased. Graded that book is a $2500 cdn roughly. But yeah 80's and early 90's stuff is really picking up. Just look at what happened with that Secret Wars #8 OA page (first Black Spidey costume) that just sold for $3,360,000.00.

I threw an irresponsible bid in this and was quickly left in the dust.
Very jealous of whoever picked this up |
