Finished up Duke! I think he came out really cool. Subtle, but enough of a step up that I feel good about it. Really just wanted to bring some of the detail out, get rid of the cheesy green plastic, etc.
Some of the finishing touches: textured mud on the boots and trench shovel, buckles painted silver, darkened the blue highlights on the armor, some general scratches/damage/etc. damn nice! small details but makes it look more realistic.

Wow, thank you all for the kind words! I've been customizing figures as a side hobby for a long, long time. Over 15 years! I love doing it, I find it super relaxing.

As for paints, I'm using a mix of Games Workshop Citadel paints and Vallejo Acrylic Hobby paints. I'm also utilizing Tamiya's Weathering Master kits. Between the three of those things, and a lot of different brushes (and makeup applicators!), that's how these guys are getting done. I actually just finished Scarlett tonight, which I think came out even better than Duke! If ya'll think Duke looks rad, wait until you see her. I'll be taking some pics in the AM when I have good light and I'll post them here Really happy to field any questions or offer help when needed. |

Well, I finally figured out where I'd previously seen the "Classified" design aesthetic of incongruously old timey-style clothing and random pieces of armor covered in blue LEDs:

OK guys, the grip has been slimmed down, the front sight post has been added, and the SMG 3-pack is now live:

You can get any Target DCPI number by going to their web page and clicking show more on About This Item, Details. Here is Cobra Commander (who is back in stock for preorder by the way):
087-16-9403 Here is his page: https://www.target.com/p/g-i-joe-cla...e/-/A-79446869 I think people were saying, though, that Wave 1 and Wave 2 are being tracked by a "secret" DCPI number for the whole case and not individually like Cobra Island. I can't help with that. Red Ninja: 087-16-9540 Gung Ho: 087-16-9973 Wave 1 Destro: 087-16-8059 Snake Eyes: 087-16-6692 I can't find Scarlett, Roadblock, or Duke on Target.com.
