The Carousel scene is amazing. It's on my list of top 10 bizarre scenes ever.

George Lucas selling Star Wars was the best thing that could have happened to Star Wars- he wasn't going to give us anything truly great again. I think The Prequels, Special Editions, etc. really proved that The Original Trilogy was a much more collaborative effort than many acknowledge, and, while he had the big idea, George Lucas has gotten too much credit for it. Anyway...
EOne is a smart acquisition for Hasbro. It may seem like a lot of money, but the biggest thing that they are getting are resources- resources to turn their own intellectual properties in to films and series, with more direct creative control. The fact that they get Peppa Pig and PJ Masks along with the deal is a huge plus, too- I have a 3-year-old; Peppa and PJ Masks are both hugely popular. Each of them has at least as much shelf space in Target's toy department as Transformers, plus kids clothing, DVDs, and stage shows (besides the TV shows), not to mention Peppa Pig sections at theme parks in England and Germany. Hasbro doesn't have any existing character-based IPs that appeal to a crowd that young the way Peppa and PJ Masks do. Both have existing licensing deals with other toy companies, so Hasbro is going to reap the financial beneifts of those agreements, and other licensing. This is a very smart move on Hasbro's part, and makes me much mroe optimistic about seeing cool films and series from GI Joe and Transformers, and maybe even some more second-tier Hasbro IPs with great potential, like Micronauts (I would love to see a new COPS series, but I'm not holding my breath...).
