Whether you like Liefield or not, you should be happy for this. I've heard a lot of complaints, especially from Transformers fans, about a small company like IDW always resorting to startup writers to write these properties, so the fact that they lured in a very well-known star to write/draw a G.I. Joe book is pretty huge. Huge like the biceps on a Liefield drawing. I hope that this brings a little more respect to the G.I. Joe brand that has lacked its due respect for many years now.

Anyway, I'll take the bizarre contortions, speed lines and tiny (or conveniently obscured) feet, and you can keep the tree-stump heads, omnipresent abstract geometry and overdone shading. Last edited by CADPAT; 07-16-2019 at 11:06 PM.. |

This would've been kickass news 30 years ago. Even now, at least it'll be an interesting experiment to see a legend take on the franchise, instead of start-up guys. The two covers look pretty good, at least. Is that a JvC Night Creeper? That era of Joe should go in well with Rob's own aesthetic.
Of course they should've had Hama write it. That would free ARAH for non-SE action (haha, as if). BTW, I'm now accepting bets from anyone who doesn't believe Snake-Eyes will return to ARAH in time for the movie.

Who's the guy in the full face mask and trench coat? That's what I want to know. I assume that's Scarlett and a terrible Storm Shadow.
Liefield can be good or bad. Mostly bad with terrible proportions and throwback designs. But more Joe is better Joe I guess. |

If you have forgotten that, I can easily see you forgetting SE is actually dead. No bet! :/

Then I'd be the one crying. And there would be no bank.
