I see Articulated Ninja is still gong on about the Ghost Rider Haslab. How many videos is he up to on that now? Man at this point he's beating the bones of the dead horse, quite literally, it didn't fund, the "slaves" revolted, the big bad H took an L. He must really have wanted that thing to keep droning on about it. Sounds like a jilted ex.
The book that Vala refuses to promote. It's honestly sad how little Bobby's cared about the novel.

I'm convinced these "influencers" have as much knowledge as the rest of us do.

They lit him up in that TheRaider.net thread he was referencing.

It makes sense. He was cosplaying as a "Necromancer". But not the "loser" kind of cosplay. In regular cloths he wears. Everyday.

I can't help but feel like Ninja, who arguably got Bobby and crews attention with his multitudinous GH EOV Haslab videos, is simply rinsing and repeating in order to remain relevant and in the good graces of his buddies. Arguably I could be wrong and he just has a particular passion for that topic, but I couldn't agree more that he's beating the horse' dead bones at this point.
There was also a laughably hypocritical point by Tony. When Ryan was talking about how McFarlane probably made the Batwing with wings that needed to be put on, Tony says, "I'd be pissed if I paid $250 for that and had to put the wings on" completely ignorant of the fact that he'd totally be bitching and moaning about the shipping costs of a fully assembled 1:10 Batwing to Oz. Can't have it both ways.

Started lurking this topic about a month ago. Might as well give my 2-cents.
I can't figure out if this it is the Chicken or the Egg. Did they create their critics or did the Critics create them? I've enjoyed their videos on vintage toys and modern reviews. I see pictures of Action Force figures and think those look good. But then I watch videos of these guys talking to together or take a look at their social media and think differently about them. I've been seeing more of an us vs them attitude from those guys. Seeing what they had to deal with I can't blame them for it. I'd probably start acting the same way. But this can also lead to the creation of more critics. Collectors who have no idea what's going on may think an insult meant for the trolls is them insulting anyone who happens to like Hasbro's latest toy or Disney's latest movie. Or in my case years ago have them misunderstand a comment I made, get overly defensive about it without asking for clarification. Sorry I wasn't following all the drama. I can't blame them too much for it. Critics in places like this topic do take it too far. Not surprised that Ramen Toys has taken an interest in them. I'm not sure if they're even aware of his online activity. Spoiler he went off the deep end. |
