Not exactly true. Small companies also run the risk of being an affordable "teachable lesson." They hit the little guy with little to no monetary risk on their part, and tie him up in litigation until he concedes, or winds up bankrupt, forfeiting personal assets (car, house, etc.), to cover legal fees. The industry/media reports what happens, and others are quick to change their habits to avoid the same.
