New episode. A lot to unpack. 1) He defames Hasbro by casting aspersions and costs them sales, which is what he threatened to sue Kenny for. Of course, it's much more precarious for Bobby, because he stands to profit from sabotaging Hasbro (there are people in the SuperChats who dropped the HasLab and spent $350 on Action Force) and because THIS ISN'T A MEME -- a reasonable person could mistake his arguments as based in objective fact. You have a lawyer, go ask him, Bobby, you idiot. THEN, to top it off, he shows proof that he buys from Hasbro and supports HasLabs. Where's that "Toys before ethics" note, Kenny? 2) He does some basic parts count analysis of the Hellcharger and then acts like he just blew everyone's mind, drawing on his vast experience in the toy industry to come up with that "insightful" explanation. Like no one else can count. Then someone asks him how Transformers are so cheap with their relatively high parts count, and Bobby's all, 'Dunno'. You can't make this stuff up. 3) Retrobastard (he likes to send hollow legal threats, too) kept popping up in the SuperChats to exclaim that he was right all along about HasLab and delusionally states that now everyone agrees with his nitwit arguments from 2018, but we're all too stubborn to admit it. He must have spent the majority of the summer, when Classified Hiss Tank Mania was running wild, with his giant head lodged in a doorway to be that oblivious to reality or recent history. People don't hate HasLab; they hate some of the projects and price points. Michael said a long time ago that it WASN"T about the price for him. He would have paid the $500 for the Sail Barge if it was a retail item. How do these people function in the world when they lose the plot SO EASILY? [Just to clarify, I think the current Kickstarter offering is weak. I'm not defending it. I'm just pointing out that even when they're on the side of popular opinion, their dipshittery shines through. Especially when they're aligned with popular opinion, in fact.] 4) Bobby is living RENT FREE in all our heads! He's making phat stacks off our hate views! The only way we can foil him is if we ignore him! HAHA, nice try, Bobby... It's this damn human nature of ours. For some reason, evolution thought it would be a good idea that we notice people behaving in hubristic, petty, cruel, and expedient ways and gave us the strong urge to call them out on it. I'm sure Bobby would LOVE to live in a world where he can claim his toy line is super successful and people would believe him, but that's not this world. Never mind the fact that Bobby is one of the most aggrieved people I've ever seen. I would wager he has more rent-free denizens of his brain than communist North Korea. But give me a break. If he could pay us the money he makes on views to go away, he would gladly do it. It's pennies. Not worth the headache we cause him. So, what's next, Bobby? "They hate us, because they ain't us?" It's all meaningless bluster. We see through it and you. We know that you don't, in fact, benefit from our scorn. But hey, if we cause you so much angst that you need to convince yourself that you're winning by occupying our thoughts, then go ahead. It'll help -- just not all the time. 5) One last amusing point: They played the "Toy Industry Experience" card to sanctify Bobby's opinion over the dissenting opinion of someone who HASN"T worked in the toy industry. For those that aren't aware, this was the crux of the Toy Guru (toy industry experience) vs Michael French (life-long Kylie Minogue pin-up calendar masturbator) debate. Meanwhile, Retroblasting is there in the chat and Toy Guru's name is mentioned and nobody puts that expedient little reversal of convenience together. Or if they did, they dared not speak it. But I'm happy to point it out here. In other words, if Bobby says something, his experience in the toy industry makes it law. But if Toy Guru makes a claim, well, he's an idiot and his industry experience doesn't matter. If I remember anything else, I'll be back. Last edited by SmokePants; 09-25-2022 at 09:34 AM.. |

The “you are just mad at valaverses success!!” Is his new go to. It’s just another version of “you guys are jealous you aren’t making toys!” Or “if you have haters it means your successful!!!” All of these are ways to excuse and justify being a cunt.

But, but, but, wait a minute. I thought that crux of the "HasLabs should be available at retail,," argument was that if the item was available at B&Ms and fan channel outlets the item would be cheaper. What's the difference between spending $500 directly to Hasbro as opposed to Target, Big Bad, Dorkside, or Walmart?

Not for nothing, Bobby did destory Hasbro concerning the Ghost Rider HasLab to the point to where conversations regarding future projects will include "Vala proofing," the project against potential criticism.
I hope Lenny and HasLab team are taking note of this for the next Classified HasLab. While I think if the next Classified HasLab is the M.O.B.A.T. or the Dragonfly the initial offering of Steeler with M.O.B.A.T. and W.B. with Dragonfly is enough to get people interested just off the strength of the items being a helicopter and a tank, I feel that the Vamp would need to be a little more than just Clutch and the Vamp. At a minimum the Vamp would have to have working head lights, possibly come with doors, and a missile rack as an incentive to back the project.

That's not the gear packs for the female Deltas and Shadows. Without those packs, those blank troopers are kind of worthless.

To everyone else, it's obvious that they need to charge up front to validate the sales as genuine. Otherwise, people could place false bids to force the project (and all stretch goals) into production and buy it at their leisure when they have to unload all the reneged stock at a discount or not at all (bidding just to troll Hasbro). But for him, that's the sticking point, not the price itself. Last edited by SmokePants; 09-25-2022 at 09:24 PM.. |

In his defense, doesn?t every bad ass, genius expert in their field have to run around and moderate any conversation about their content? Genius experts are known for banning people from their community who speak out, for deleting comments when people present facts that counter their narrative and they?re known for hiding behind other people. These are all telltale signs of genius. You?re just haters & you need to recognize his genius.
If anything, figures that are fragile, overpriced, & unoriginal are that way on purpose. It?s all part of the genius.
