They understood the collectors well, and collectors do seem to be the majority of G.I. Joe sales at the present, but this position of Senior Brand Manager to drive Product Development and Marketing for the GI Joe and Micronauts brands seems to require better results than what we’ve witnessed over the past five years. I’m not sure if the celebrated designer they recently let go even has an MBA or a Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Advertising, which would result in disqualification for this position. Digital marketing, the forefront of digital trends and analytics, and expertise in managing external agencies seem to be what they say they are looking for in an applicant. This sounds like they need somebody other than the three they already let go if they want this to happen. It’s a new playing field now, with Toys ‘R Us taken out of the picture. I’m interested to know how the next GI Joe/Micronauts Senior Brand Manager aims to solve this problem, and adapt to this new landscape.

Employers expect managerial job applicants to negotiate their salary during the interview stage. If the applicant can’t do even this, they are automatically disqualified for the position.

They need is a live action G.I. Joe series for to bring in a bunch of the classic ARAH designed characters, vehicles and the whole sets all based on the 1982-1987 toy line. For the idea of a live action Joe film a complete reboot set in 1987 that way they can fill in the Joes, Cobra, Dreadnoks all have the classic ARAH look. In case you haven't seen Bumblebee movie yet. Go see the Transformers designs that most TF fans remembered in the 80s.
It would be awesome if Hasbro did one Joe movie like that. |

So are they going to listen to the new person, when they say, "We need a Joe cartoon, Mobile Video Game, Console video game, actors going to events, etc? They will probably say what they said to DD and MW: HELL NO!!!

Right, but there has to be a range. Glassdoor lists the salary at around $125k for a lower position. Corporate positions can run the gamut- and it’s been a while since I’ve had to research this. Was wondering if anyone on here actually had an idea.

I really hope they can hire Weber back, but he went back to school, so who knows. Bobby seems too pissed about how things ended to ever go back (but I wish he would—dang fine talent!).

It varies quite a bit by region/location due to things like cost of living, but for the LA area, $125k would be in the ballpark for a Brand Manager.

Now Playing: Panic in Pawtucket: Disney Strikes Back
Funny to see this after the dismal performance of Star Wars last year and rumors they're giving up the brand. And as for GI Joe skeptics: Military themed Fortnite toys were one of (if not, the best) selling action figure from the last holiday season. Articulated, 1/18 scale military themed toys based on a game featuring gun violence. GI Joe can make a comeback, but looking for some new blood in the marketing room is one of the few decisions Hasbro's made of late that isn't bad.
