Still rooting for Ray Park to keep his job. He looked great in the last two films.

He's also from Sri Lanka, I'd say he's doing just fine.

Chu's weak Retaliation soft reboot/sequel which he followed up with his "Jem and the Holograms" was a disaster - that also helped spell the end of the "Hasbro shared universe" a couple of years ago. I'm not sure another GI JOE movie would work right now.
The last two Joe films were under performers(Retaliation even got pulled from summer release date as they got cold feet and they needed re-shoots and Hasbro/Universal's Battleship sunk bad) and not major successes and the last couple of Transformers films weren't the hits the wanted them to be either. Paramount is not Disney and Hasbro is not Marvel/Lucasfilm, Universal and even DC are suffering trying to compete. I'd hate to see Hasbro and the GI JOE brand suffer cause they got delusions of grandeur cause of Transformers live action series, the aging Bay franchise that probably filled their heads with greed. I would prefer a sequel to Resolute or a cartoon series of that caliber. Last edited by CG82; 11-05-2018 at 05:38 PM.. |

Retaliation did just fine, it actually made more money than Rise of Cobra and on a smaller budget. A third film was announced soon afterwards as well but due to multiple screw ups it never happened. The biggest problem Retaliation had was the screw up between Paramount and Hasbro, as Paramount's decision to do 3D conversion ruined Hasbro's toy release plans, the toys were already shipping to retailers and distribution, and stores had tons of product for a movie that never came out. Stores refused to carry future GI Joe after that. |

If you can't source outside the site then this is just a guess. Stopping making rumors of Snake Eyes as the 2020 G.I. Joe movie.

This will be your first verbal warning to lay off the trolling. If you don't believe the news, go somewhere else.
