In case you won’t go to the Kickstarter site for some reason...

I was certainly bummed that the MARV Kickstarter didn't work out, as it slowed down the development process a bit. We've still been chipping away at the MARV over the past year and I'm happy to finally start the tooling process in May, and hopefully inspect some test shots over the summer.
Here's a shot of the v3 prototype MARV, which was completed last month. All of the design specs (i.e. part fit, tolerances, colors) were fine tuned so the factory has a near-perfect reference sample during moldmaking and final production. Awesome news, Greg! Looking forward to getting multiple some day...

Thanks Slaymaker, you and me both! I'm ready for a MARV convoy on my shelves.

The cheapo humvee someone above linked is like comparing Little Caesars to Grimaldi's pizzeria in Brooklyn. Clearly now is a bad time for a MARV to fund, but is now a bad time to look into local, American companies possibly making it? You might be able to negotiate better rates now, no?

I did explore domestic options last year as the trade war was ramping up. Unfortunately it was cost prohibitive compared to overseas production. Getting responses from factories in the US was rare enough, and the quotes I could get ranged from 3-4 times higher than my overseas options to seven figure quotes. I would be totally on board if a US-based option for production comes up in the future, but right now it's not something I'm pursuing.

Cool. Which is the whole reason why I posted the link. I was not previously aware of this vehicle, and found it to be a heck of a bargain. I wasn't trying to slam the MARV or say they were completely identical. I'd still try and back the MARV again if it comes back around.
