Sorry too this didn't fund. I was a small-timer, just in for one, but I definitely hoped to see it succeed. I compared to the Star Wars Scarif tank regarding the price point and figured it was pretty well priced considering the lower production number.
I admit part of me was a little nervous about it because it was going to look like a behemoth next to any Joe vehicle thanks to being true 1:18 scale. As much as I've loved many of the Chinese 1:18 vehicles, I've never jumped in. Heck, even a 1:18 HMMMV is as big as the Mauler and that just doesn't look right on the shelf. I'm sure you would've had people complain about a down-sized Joe-scale version too, so not sure what the solution was. Likewise, 15% smaller probably would not have equated to 15% cheaper, so the perceived value would have taken a hit. That said, I think one of the critical challenges with this kind of thing is that you can’t troop-build it. I suppose there might be some people out there who want ten of them, but most people only want / need / have room for one. Compare to things like BFS and Zombie Lab where people want whole armies. (I have literally 40 BFS Hoplites). I suspect the more successful startups are the ones with the greatest potential for repeat business with large assortments and troop builder potential. |

Yes and no on the repeat business thing. 115 backers out of 240-ish backed for more than one. so about half of the supporters wanted at least two, with 48 backers interested in the package of 5.

I only pledged for one, because I just wasn't sure what I would do with more than one, not because I didn't like them. I was more intrigued by the potential future accessory packs. I wish there was a way to produce those for existing vehicles.
And yeah, 90 bucks isn't cheap, but I think instead of comparing it to Hasbro toys like the Ninja Combat Cruiser, compare it to higher end scale toys like Bruder. A Dodge pickup from Bruder runs 50 bucks and it doesn't have a ring mount, much less a turret The Bruder toys get pricey fast. I look forward to the future plans of Greg and hope to get a chance to give you my money. Oh, and your goat logo creeps me out. Goats are creepy. |

So, as an adult, when I finally found out what songs KISS played, they seemed extremely tame compared to the way they looked. Jason |

That's hilarious! My dad (who was not a Christian by any means) still wouldn't let us listen to KISS because it was "the devil's music." Come to find out my dad didn't even know one KISS song, and little did we know that on Saturday mornings as we watch Mid-South Wrestling, we were listening to KISS as the Rock-n-Roll Express entered to "I Want to Rock-n-Roll All Night!"

My grandmother wouldn't allow me to watch He-Man because he called upon "the power of greyskull" instead of God.
Same with Bravestarr. He called upon the powers of the hawk, bear, puma, etc.

For many years, my step-father hated everything to do with my Star Wars figures. He claimed they were all about war and fighting and "of the devil." Then he watched a bootleg copy of the movies on VHS and decided that The Force was just another reference to god and that the films and toys were great!
