Thanks ya’ll! Your support is greatly appreciated!
Yep, that’s the current plan. I know there is a lot of excitement for the kits, and I also can’t wait to see them. However I feel it is important to keep the initial selection conservative and manageable since a full vehicle by itself is such a large offering. Rest assured that the add-on kits WILL be coming if the MARV funds; it will only be a matter of time. The MARV prototype is pictured; the look and function is nearly identical to what the final product will be but it isn’t exact. There are a few revisions that will be made prior to final production such as a smaller gun and added detailing, which can be seen earlier in this thread. As for the color, it is a match for the “Desert Tan” MARV; a notable difference is that the prototype is hand painted, while the final product will feature tan-colored plastic. Quote:
Seated in the cab: 4 figures “Seated” in the rear bed (with or without canopy, pictured with): 1-2 figures Standing room only: 1 figure in turret opening, up to 4 figures in rear Mission Ready MARV with a 9-man squad: @hushed I appreciate you reposting that earlier image and breakdown! As a quick side note: some of the “big figs” can be seated in the cab. Pictured are GI Joe 50th Heavy Duty and Gung-Ho.

So it looks like figures won't be able to sit on the rear benches with the canopy on, correct?

The rear of the MARV doesn't actually have benches, but rather elevated walls for the bed with the railings extending upward. Figures were not intended to be seated along the sides as the vehicle was designed. There are pieces planned that will allow the mounting of a single seat in the rear, however those parts are slated for a future add-on kit and will not be included with the initial vehicle.

Is the kickstarter live yet?
Also, not sure if this is intentional or not, but the paint chips around the edge of turret opening look super realistic, reminds me of real military equipment. |

As for the chipping, that was an unfortunate side effect of a painted prototype venturing to few toy shows over the last couple months. I just did paint touch ups this morning before further photography. Some spots looked cool and added realism (turret edge as you noted, along with some interior and doorway scratches) while other areas (wheels) looked like apparent damage. There's a slight possibility for MARVs with weathered paint decos in in the future, in which case I'll keep some of the actual paint damage in mind as reference.

I am in. Basic Black, Olive Drab Green, Desert Tan, Haze Grey, Cobra Vehicle Blue. How easy will it be to disassemble these for customizing?
Partner with CobraStickers for decal sheets? Download a template for printable waterslide decals? Kits can include mods for IG (gold for the black version) the weird wine red (for the cobra blue) black, tan, OD green, and a dreadnok/roadwarrior kit or two would be fun!
