Would much rather have slots in the upcoming FSS sets go to figures that have been missing in ME entirely rather than another repaint or rehash of something that's already out there. Right now, from what I can tell browsing YoJoe's catalog, we're missing the following '80s ARAH figures in ME, so these should get priority: '85 Heavy Metal '86 Motor Viper '87 Gyro Viper Payload Rumbler Sea Slug Steam Roller Golobulus Royal Guard The Fridge (licensing issues possible) '88 Astro Viper Blizzard Hard Ball Hydro Viper Lightfoot Toxo Viper A few drivers Super Trooper '89 Backblast Countdown Downtown Gnawgahyde's pet boar TARGAT A few drivers Last edited by edgecrusher; 11-06-2017 at 02:17 AM.. |

Have I missed it or has there not been any clues released as far as who the 13th figure is?

What's the point in that? Asking as someone who doesn't get it. The other figure already exists in the ME line, even if it is a bit expensive. And you're not getting that character if you buy this other figure. The cardboard, bio card, and stand are for a different character altogether and generally the colors are all different as well. So what you actually want is a reissue. And reissues could be done at a JoeCon or as a website special without impacting the limited slot count in new FSS sets, so everyone would benefit.

Ehh, we're all pretty happy to get things cheaper but that isn't quite what they're delivering. It's a halfway attempt. I'd rather pay a little more to get the actual character with the correct paint, weapons, card art, biocard, and stand. Have an actual reissue, which would actually address the matter correctly, or use the slot for a missing ARAH figure instead. There's clearly no shortage of missing characters to deliver before we start worrying about making existing characters more widely available. At least those characters actually exist!

I think straight reissues wood violate their promise of exclusivity and piss people off.

Well, I just looked up a few of these that I'm not familiar with, and I want to know why I'm God's name I'd want a straight repaint of big boa in this fss????? I know some people like Brazilian figures, and sometimes we get repaint, but...wtf!!!!!! The more I look at this list, and realize that our days of fss lines are seriously numbered, it makes me really REALLY wonder what the hell they were thinking this time around. I'm just shaking my head. I really don't get it.

That does not appear to be the same character or the same color as the original Motor Viper. Which is probably why YoJoe doesn't consider it in that lineage either. Last edited by edgecrusher; 11-06-2017 at 10:25 AM.. |

I'd be all over that ninja force Zartan, as I'm sure several others would be. But no, I guess according to the club there were lots more clamoring for a cardboard bland Dusty and a slightly repainted Ice Viper. Yep, makes sense said no one ever (that doesn't work at the club).
