I think I'm going to repaint that Jurassic park figure with the tats and use him as Kangor unmasked. I think that will satisfy me enough to save 40 bucks

I mean he's Australian right? They and new Zealand seem to have a strong Samoan population.

No friend, you’re way off the mark. Kangor is a Brazilian, who during a trip to Australia stole a kangaroo, and named it Gooru.

Kangor used to be a champion boxer, expelled from the sport for his violence and cheating. Now, he’s the Wild Fighter for Cobra in the South American operations. He trained the stolen kangaroo to team up with it as they fight their opponents, and together they do some comical dual attack by simultaneously punching/kicking their adversaries.

What’s next, a falconer dressed as a bird, or a gypsy with a hypno-shield? This weird stuff makes G.I. Joe fun.

Anyways, it’s from the bio information on the back of the 1993 Estrela toy company product, part of their “Forca Fera” line (Beast Force) line.

Kangor is just a minor Big Boa repaint? I guess that's cool for those who missed out on BB during his respective FSS wave, but otherwise what a complete waste of a slot. I mean, who would have wanted yet another wacky Brazilian repaint over a better-known, more established character? Especially considering the fact that there's only just so many figure slots available before the FSS is gone altogether?

Geez. I'm sounding like all the haters when Arctic Cobra Commander was unveiled. Maybe I should just shut up and be happy for the seven people who are excited about Kangor.

Agreed. My favorite wacky character backstory remains Croc Master:

"Croc Master is a former alligator wrestler and burglar alarm salesman who founded Guard-Gators Inc. in an effort to commercialize the use of alligators for home security."

I laugh every time I read that.

I am lucky in that I have Two FSS Big Boa figures. But even then I still wanted to see a Kangor. And like I have said many times prior, I do not like repaints, but I would not mind seeing a repainted Freestyle figure in FSS 8.0.
