Thing is, it could've been 3 Ice Vipers in the FSS and people will still buy it because you're getting a few other figures that are great.

Let's see how much Crystal Ball is on eBay after he's released. I'll bet he's up there with Big Boa.

Exactly. If you really want Crystal Ball and say... 3 others.... then you are better off subbing and selling off what you don’t want. He will likely be the eBay gem out of this set and you’ll do better money wise in the long run. This Ice Viper Officer is likely a sell for me but I knew before the reveal.

I don't want a crystal ball on a card that looks like someone tried to make an accordion out of it.

Okay, but treadmark is basically another lazy repaint, right, but I bet more people requested him than the i.v.officer. if they're gonna do a lazy repaint, give us a character most of us are clamoring for. I wouldve,never thought of creating an i.v.officer

I personally thing "repaint" only applies if you take one entire figure, and add a different paint mask.

Skidmark is kitbashed from various parts from different figures more than repaint.

Yep, and he's an ARAH character Hasbro would never make. He's actually the perfect candidate for the FSS.

I think anytime you can legitimately say 'was anyone requesting this figure?' then it does not have a place as an exclusive offering.

I know many of you aren't happy about the Artic CC, but there are a good amount happy to have him. Same thing for TF Jinx - vocal supporters and detractors. But seriously, did anyone ever ask for this - a repaint of a O-ring club exclusive figure from a few years ago (http://www.yojoe.com/action/07/iceviper2.shtml)?

I get why it was used (see Xero's post a page back) but there's just no excuse that it was made on the 2nd to last FSS when so many other requested figures could easily have been done.

I never had the impression the FSS was a fan requested driven entity. They do listen... but to a point. He's a filler. Much like the female Trooper in black on the current FSS 6. They had the mold all prepped and ready to go, so they made a female Trooper in black, lol.

I don't think anyone was clamoring after her since we got one from Hasbro and three from the Club already... but in black!

I honestly think I'll end up having to pay a lot for Crystal Ball, but that's what happens if I can't fork out the money up front to buy the whole sub.

Honestly, if I did buy the sub, I'd end up keeping more figures after I get them in hand than my original intention. That's what happened with FSS 5.0. I never intended to keep the Steel Raven figure, but sure enough, I ended up keeping her.
