The reason I picked up A REAL AMERICAN HERO back in the 80's was because it wasn't like everything else on the rack. It had its own identity, if you make it like every other comic what's the point. If you like the standard comic book story you have a wide array to choose from, diluting G.I. JOE IS not helping the brand and the sales are showing it.

In the 90's DC had the "Death of Superman" story. Soon after there were four different "Rise of the Supermen" with four different Superman spin offs and none of them were the genuine article and they became new DC characters for a while.... then the original came back. will there be a "REIGN of THE SNAKE EYES?"

haven't read these comics (or any comics that much for that matter) in a very long time, but the Joes could always ask Chef's momma to help get Snake-Eyes out of her head! it worked wonders to get Kenny's soul out of Cartman heh :p

All part of the rise of the female as more important than men narrative currently poisoning all forms of media. I'm all for a reasonable balance, but many forms of pop culture are replacing all typically male heroes with female versions, which feels disgustingly and overtly agenda driven.

This may be sacrilage, but I prefer GI Joe when the focus isn't on Snake Eyes all the time.

I agree, but killing him (and Lady Jaye, back in the day) is the equivalent of killing off Darryl in the "Walking Dead". It's a sure fire way to watch half your fan-base disappear.

and to have it done in such a lackluster way didn't help either.
