T'jbang recently went for $30 shipped. Normally he goes for $45-50 but that's not far off from the typical FSS figure on eBay or in the club store, where they're $40 plus shipping, and likely $5 higher in this FSS with the price hike.

At first it looks sorta like a good match to the original but the webgear and that mask both look way off. Definitely the worst out of the bunch in this set.

So this is kinda sad, but do we all think this is the end of Modern Era Joes?

I love Dojo best reveal so far! Not 100% accurate to ARAH but more than close enough for me.
I also love that his head is reuseable as Headman. Very clever and I'd never have thought of it. |

I think the vest can work; the shoulder pads on the vest are nearly perfect. I just think there's too much yellow. So, I did a quick Photoshop mockup to see what Dojo would look like with less yellow on the vest. I also removed the flesh tone from his neck, since holy crap, was that disturbing once I noticed it. Instead I made it white, like his pants:
Maybe you guys think this is polishing a turd, but hopefully you'll think it's an improvement. Probably an easy change for the Club to make if people are on board with it. Also, I just finally realized the vest on my Red Fang Ninja has been on backwards the last 8 years. Whoops! No wonder it didn't fit well.

WOW this website is impossible to please to the level of being comical.
Dojo's legs, arms, feet and accessories are perfectly accurate to the original. While the webgear is not perfect, the shoulder pads and sash match the original to a T, so the slight difference in the Torso is no more of a difference from the original than most figures released since the 25th. The head has the same bald head, the same facial air, the same ponytail, and a slightly different headmask. The only real difference is that his mouth is closed rather than "bad saturday morning cartoon growl". And there are complaints about this being a terrible figure? I don't even know what to say. |
