And why we shouldn’t assume fellow tankers who sell on eBay are fundamentally greedy. Most are just trying to offset the high cost of subbing. Even selling at really high prices its hard to break even let alone make a profit if you keep anything. If you follow my math the average ebay seller who sells 2 subs and keeps a third still just breaks even most likely, or does slightly better
The Tank is a nice community. We needn’t blame each other for high Joe prices on eBay. And if anyone does make any money they probably could’ve made more taking a second job at minimum wage for a few days a month. Selling on eBay is not the lap of luxury.

For anyone wanting a more comfortable method for attaching Guillotine's air hoses to his backpack, you can use short lengths of black hose to attach them to the pegs on the top of his backpack, like so:
I used about 3/16 of an inch for each snippet of hose, as that's about the minimum necessary for everything to plug in securely on both ends.

The way the backpack is pressed against the fig's back make the hoses splay out to the side. I didn't realize the sword and other rifle are straight from the DTC version. Even if it was flush against his back too, it would've been better if they just retooled the backpack so you could at least store the sword. Regardless, I think it just needs more clearance for the hoses to go straight in.

That’s the way I am displaying him, as it’s the way he is portrayed on the card art.

so..$405/ 13 figures is about $31 per figure. Do people really join the FSS to try and double their money? Every FSS 6.0 figure on eBay is going for at least double. Wow! And we know these are club members...which means they are more than likely Tankers...buy hey.....we are a COMMUNITY...right? Anyways...back to the figure build talk.

Got my figures yesterday and what a great shipment! Opened both pretty much right away which is rare since I’ve still got 4 figures from 6.0 and even more from previous subs to open.
Subzero is great. I had him back in the vintage days and always thought he was lame but this update is really well done. Guillotine is beautiful. Makes me so sad that we aren’t getting more of the plague. If we don’t get at least Munitia before all is said and done, I’ll be really upset. Night Stalkers Commander is still tops from this sub IMO but these aren’t far behind. |

Here's how "easy" it is to "double your money":
First consider your costs up front: 1/13 of club membership fee - $3.38 Cost of a figure: $31.15 Total: $34.54 So you want to double your money: Ebay takes 10% or your sale price plus shipping. Paypal takes 0.30+2.9% Shipping takes at least $3 You sell for $70 with free shipping. $70 subtract $7 (ebay) - subtract $2.33 (paypal) -subtract 3.00 (shipping) and I'm not going to include insurance You make a whopping $23 dollars on that $34.54 figure. Do that for 13 figures and your gross is $910, but you only net $300.71. If you wait any time at all, your lackluster figures WON'T sell at $70 a pop, either. To me that's a hell of a lot of hard work that isn't worth it for the time you spend checking ebay to ship them on time. Buying multiple subs would get you a better return on investment, but it's also a bigger financial risk. If any of your buyers claim that the box arrived empty you lose, and your profits will feel a LOT smaller for all the time and work you put in. Now if more realistically, 2 figures sell for $100, 9 sell for $60, and 2 sell for $40, your profits drop to $222.00. Oh yeah, and you spend insurance on each figure cause you don't want to deal with hassles, and there goes half of what you get right there! |

My guillotine backpack looks like it’s half melted. Emailed Karen at funpub to see if I can get a replacement. Hopfully she still works there. Guillotine is a solid figure. Subzero doesn’t have much articulation with that coat as expected

You also forgot to mention that in most states now paypal issues a 1099k and Uncle Sam is looking for his cut. But I completely agree that its to much time and to much effort.
