Well, my man--if you were to click the link and read a bit about the Kickstarter, you would see that Volume 4 is 80 pages.
On the other hand, if you were to ask me, the answer is "not enough to warrant paying $35-$40". It's a cool idea, but to me the volume of content in each volume is not enough to offset the cost. I know it's not a perfect apples-to-apples comparison, but look at either volume of Mark Bellomo's "The Ultimate Guide to G.I.Joe". 300 full pages choc full of photos of every figure with content and background information on every single character. I got both volumes for about $20 each. I get it, he had a publisher and didn't have to produce it through a Kickstarter. But these books, while interesting, are passes for me because I can't justify dropping $40 per volume on less than 80 pages with scant information.

Depends on the definition of scant. These are behind the scenes sketches, drawings, mockups, evolution of characters and preproduction information. Some changed before final release, so it's pretty interesting stuff.

If these were just written text books based off public info they might be considered thin, but the content and research has been fantastic with gems that have never been revealed before, and the artwork make it well worth the price of admission. The introduction by Kirk Bozigian has been my favorite part, and I can't wait to read volume 4. These are similar to Carson's 3dJoe's art books in that they are punching well above their level than if you just look at page counts. Anyway, just wanted to throw out a alternate viewpoint for anyone who was lurking and debating over backing I have zero regrets over buying these and can't wait to see what comes next.

I can sympathize with that viewpoint and I had similar concerns after the first kickstarter. After reading the positive reviews for volume 1 I jumped in on volume 2 and 3 and I am currently backing volume 4.

Are there any more volumes planned after this? I'd hate to buy the whole set, with slipcover, then find out there's a fifth one coming out. Kind of makes that slipcover pointless. Having just bought all of the art books, it's tough to spend so much on these so soon after, but I do love the look of them and need a good read.

Who said there's a slipcover? Keyword search for slip, case or cover on this and the KS page is returning nothing for me.

Sorry, I must've been looking at the old one.
It came from an email update.
