Just upped my pledge.
As I'm not independently wealthy, I'm all in with the playset, plus the critters, but I'm going to have to wait until backerkit time to add on all the army builders I'll need.

I like the idea behind these figures a lot. Who doesn't love animal men? I also think the extra heads to make every one an army builder and the blanks are smart plays. As are the "homage" figures.
I still hate that they are super stylized and don't fit with anything else I have :/ I get it that the comic is in this style. But it's like the Star Wars Animated figures, just too far off from reality to use. Still I am planning on pledging whatever I can come up with to support the 3 3/4" cause. Every successful super articulated 3 3/4" Kickstarter is a success for our cause. It proves that the fanbase and the money is there. |

The cartoony style isn't a deal-breaker for me, but I'm just not into the anthro/furry type of stuff, so these don't interest me much. That aside, they look excellent, and I can't rule out getting a couple out of principle.
Also, blanks are a great idea. I could see those being widely used.

I'm not really seeing a cartoon look on any of them besides Pale, whom I understand Jason kept as-is from the first campaign because Pale is 'his' guy more so than any other. The other Chimps do still have some big ears, but that's pretty realistic to actual chimps. The rest of the species heads are pretty damned savagely realistic to me. |
