ARAH - 82-94 RAH - 97-02 JvC - 02-03 ST - 03 VvV - 04-05 DTC - 05-06 I don't see a problem with OG for the Original 13. Why can't we make a cool moniker for the first 3 3/4" Joes? Back on topic: I hit TRU today and saw no Night Watch packs nor signs for them, but I did see leftovers from wave 5 and the Chap Mei Police Force sets |

all my regional tru's have the carded figures on a peg rack just next to the end cap. comic packs are stuffed on a shelf next to sigma characters. does anyone have dedicated joe display? it seems like my tru's just toss them where ever they can vs. making actual space for htem. this is what makes it more difficult for me to find anything. they can be anywhere, literally, in the joe/lite force/bbi asile.

It seems to me like they went overboard with the exclusives all coming out in March. If they had spread them out over a few months it would be easier for some of us to get them all, like myself. Since I doubt this will change I had to decide to pass on a lot of these. If I wasn't trying to save money after the TF Movie figure purchases drained my savings I would get more of these. Plus there are a lot of other TF's and 25th's in February and March that I want more than these, like 20 to 22 Vipers. If they are still out in April or get pushed back, two big ifs, I will try to get the others. It is nice to see a big push for Joes in store though. This will be a great year for figures but a bad one for our wallets. Some of us may have to make some tough choices.
One thing does seem odd to me about all these TRU exclusives coming out in March. Hasbro seems to focus a lot of their exclusives on Target lately but they are only getting 3 with a rumored total of $30 for the sets. Toys R Us is getting around $150 dollars in one month if these dates are correct, although I wouldn't be all that surprised if the Firefly/Greenshirts and Crimson Guard sets were pushed back since they are the only ones we have not seen. Since a lot of these came out of nowhere it could be possible for other exclusives for Target. Only time will tell how this will play out. Cobra Night Watch: Originally I wanted this set, and I kind of still do, but this is a buy only if I have the spare cash. I have no shortage of Troopers at the moment either. Not bad overall. The extra weapons are nice and I like the colors. Snake Eyes vs. Red Ninjas: I only bought 2 Red Ninjas because of this set but it is close to the bottom of my want list at the moment. I wish the Red Ninja Troopers had black and not yellow but they are OK. The Red Ninja Leader is the one I like the most out of this set. Firefly vs. Greenshirts: This is the one I will try to get. I would like to see pictures but even if the Greenshirts are generic troopers it will be fine with me. I have a fell that this will be Firefly vs. the rest of the Original 13. Since Grunt is in the Senior Ranking Officers set that only leaves Short-Fuze, Zap, Steeler, and Clutch to complete the 13. That is 4 left and 4 spots in this set to fill. What are the odds of that? Crimson Guard Troopbuilder: Probably Baroness and some Crimson Guards. I would not be surprised if they repaint the Zartan mold with a new head as a Crimson Guard Immortal. That would make this set worth having. At this point though I will pass since I want to keep my CG numbers down plus there is the 3-pack and comic pack coming soon. G.I. Joe Senior Ranking Cobra Infantry Command: Now this set I really want. Sure it has another Cobra Commander but I like the stripe on him and this one will probably be out before wave 8. The Trooper and Officer look great. A must have. G.I. Joe Senior Ranking Crimson Guard Command: Not a bad set either but with a better Cobra Commander in the other set this Crimson version should have be replace with Baroness or the Crimson Guard Immortal I mentioned above. Actually the Immortal would be the best choice here. The Trooper is appears the same as the single carded, the only one out of all the sets we've seen like that, but the Officer is the real draw to this set. A must buy for me. G.I. Joe Senior Ranking Command: The weakest of the sets in my opinion. Grunt is the best one out of the set but I don't really like the 5 o'clock shadow on him. Of all the original Joes to get a figure in the Joe vs. Cobra to VvsV series he had the best and will remain my default Grunt unless a single carded or comic pack version comes out. Hawk is OK and by using the Cobra Trooper arms it eliminates the Duke arm articulation problem. Still the single carded Hawk should be around the corner and will probably be version 2 of the RAH line, hopefully with brown hair. Duke looks too much like the wave 8 versions which I plan to get for the Jump pack and Flag for my single carded wave 4 Duke.

I think that Target's really getting the better deal, the HISS tanks alone are gonna sell like crazy at 10 bucks a shot, but how many Red Cobra Commanders are you gonna put on your shelf? |

don't bring up altenator hunting, that was even worse for me than joe hunting. i simply gave up.
funny how regional toy distribution is. some areas get swamped, others are lucky to get a trickle.
