Actually some Antifa figures to get eaten by Zombie trooper or lab figures would be nice.

There were actually 3 different ones to choose from (the fourth, Buffalo Trooper didn't get to unlock)

But the goal for Field Trooper - $257,000, wasn't met. Yet it says unlocked. Confusing.
It wasn't clear the Buffalo Soldier NCO qualified. |

This weekend in a project update CFT unlocked the hat set and the Field Trooper as well as the Cavalry Buckaroo to give more value to those who had pledged $500 and allowed others to add them on. Those at the $500 level also received a free Buckaroo. They also announced the head set would be sold on the website even though it had not been reached as a stretch goal.
While no horses were unlocked, we did come away with around 16 new heads, 8 bodies, a bunch of new weapons and belts with both peg and loop connectors, a ton of hats, the first Native American figure in the line... A lot to be excited about. Yes, the beta Kickstarter design was confusing so I think a lot of lessons were learned there. :0 that was definitely not a high point. A lot of good ideas have been posed as to how it could have been structured differently and I know that John and Paul tried to set it up as best they could. If you look at the BFS horse Kickstarter the funding goal was around $125k and the CFT goal for the first horse wasn’t much higher — $155k and for a much smaller production run. The big difference was they started with a lower funding goal to allow people to unlock figures while working up to the horses. If the horses had been part of the initial funding level the number would have been close to what the BFS Kickstarter was set to but been a harder sell due to the smaller fan base and pandemic and time of year. Would that have changed customer perception and maybe reach a higher goal? Maybe. But I know the decision wasn’t made cavalierly. Still, I think it is easy to lose sight that these lines are essentially made by fans for fans and it’s a big ask to raise over 100k. I’m proud of what was accomplished in the campaign and while not everyone got in on it, there is a lot of reaaaaally exciting, diverse, and fun figures in the pipeline. The pre-order for the wave 2 is still up on the site (it launched this summer but wraps up Dec 15). Those are super straightforward to pre-order and might excite those who didn’t fund the recent campaign. I’m very active as an Admin on the CFT Facebook fan group, the Saloon, but I admittedly don’t post in forums much. I’ve kept up a bit on forums more recently during the campaign and I appreciate the points made here. If you haven’t yet, I invite u to check out the group because it has the most up to date info and has become a very positive community. CFT has been super open sharing the process of how each figure is made in the form of factory of photos and has taken fan suggestion on certain items. We’d love to include anyone of you. |

I agree, raising $110K on a 1:18 KS these days, especially in a pandemic year a month before Christmas, is a solid achievement.
In any KS, there are always things to second-guess and backseat drive, but they are never easy or clear-cut things to come up. There were a lot of pie-in-the-sky stretch goals that were never realistically within reach, but it's fun seeing peeks into what could be the basis for future releases, somehow, some way. One really cool, underhyped thing with this KS is that the set of extra heads will be made up of all the heads of fans who pledged to have their heads made. And it is unlocked as a post-KS add-on, so you can diversify your cavalry ranks. I'll definitely be grabbing that and maybe the hats. |

It was a real shock how many people pledged for those headsculpts! I gotta admit it is going to be fun having figures of lots of the Saloon regulars. There will be more figures with fan heads than not which is kinda nuts in a good way. BTW, John will be sharing pics of each head as it is sculpted over the winter on the CFT official Facebook page and the Saloon.
Then 2021 will be chock full of releases with the Cavalry Officer, wave 1.5, wave 2, and the wave 2 buckaroos and Boot Hill sets and head pack. |

It's my hope Smalljoes continues to partner with CFT. I had to miss out on the KS (dental work is both a financial and physical pain). Knowing they carried the last wave took out some of the sting and gives me hope for this offering.

Probably has been asked but,
Is the toy booth/exclusive Cavalry Officer gonna available in their store/small Joes? Or if one didn’t preorder they’re $hi+ out of luck?
