So was it 6 cavalry figures and just 1 Native American, or were there more Native Americans?

8 figures were shown ... 7 that will be Cavalry, and another exclusive Kickstarter, which will be the Native American explorer

John with Dime Novel Legends did another short notice chat Friday night via Facebook/Streamyard. A summary Ed Hellman shared is below:

TEXAS RANGER: The rest of the Texas Rangers should be coming soon. There was an issue at the factory where one eyebrow was longer than the other that is being corrected this week. They will then ship to the US as quick as possible. BUCKAROOS and WAVE 1.5 In pre-production. The factory is working with a skeleton crew but still pushing ahead. Everyone has been affected by the pandemic -- especially the printing guys. WAVE 2: A sample was shown of the Pistoleiro's vest and sarape. They are separate pieces and the sarape shouldn't affect the articulation much. The vest has a nice crease in the back and holds together with a pin. A sample was shown of the long coat, as well. They are correcting the way the pin connects in the front currently, but it already looks great. The belt is part of the mold and the holsters fit on with little pins now but very snug. They are removable so they can be reversed for the Shootist. KICKSTARTER: The Cavalry Kickstarter may launch quite soon but they are waiting to get a few ducks in a row first. If everything goes as hoped then they can launch ASAP but if not then they will push it down the road a bit. This will be the only big time to get Cavalry (especially to army build) so this will be an important Kickstarter. Paul spoke about how it is a mix of historically accurate designs as well as some movie inspired elements (nothing will be an exact replica of a movie character, though, just loosely inspired in design details here and there). No war between states era figures will be made with gray uniforms. The Kickstarter will have 7 initial figures and 1 horse, with up to around 14 figures if we hit the stretch goals and several more horses with unique saddles. The Cavalry Saddle was shown and has a LOT of details to really differentiate it from other saddles. Considering a canon and gatling gun down the line hopefully. Maybe with some action features. Buffalo soldiers will be particularly cool. They really are using a lot of new sculpts that offer many new options including 2-3 jackets, several sleeves, gauntlets, etc. There will also be some Cav specific stretch goals. They showed a color sample of the Officer JG (Lt) that looks terrific. It has the new head sculpt of Jesse McCracken. This figure has a longer coat but will still fit on a horse -- though not at 90 degrees. It's got a cool US belt buckle (and there is an eagle buckle on another figure so lots of variety). The holsters on many of the new figures are not functional to avoid giant looking holsters. Scabbard is slightly oversized so that the saber is the right size, but it looks nice. This figure has a stripe down the leg. They showed the Buffalo Soldier NCO in color. The sling for the rifle has a pivot point in it and can hang over the shoulder but not across the chest. If they are able to down the line they will do an alternate sling. The hat on this one is pretty epic. They also showed a head sculpt for a trooper that will be a stretch goal. It will come with two heads to army build. The head they showed is one of my favorites... All the holsters/scabbards are being made in two varieties -- with a loop to fit on a belt or with a pin to fit on a long coat. EAGLE FORCE: They are partnering with Bill Murphy to do an Eagle Force crossover of Wild Bill. This figure will have some new parts and ammo belt on the classic gold body. It will be released on both EF and DNL cards most likely with brand specific stands and accessories. So the EF one might have a more modern weapon and stand, for example. This figure should be coming while we wait for the Kickstarter to ship. UPCOMING FIGURES: They have already started sculpting female figures for next year. They will be in a Kickstarter with Native and possibly child sculpts. They are trying to give the women soft goods skirts and if it works the top of the fabric will be hidden under the bodice. The two actor likeness figures will hopefully be out by the start of next year's con season. They will be frankensteining (within reason) the parts they have while waiting for new parts to be made. Heads should only be used around 3 times. Camping and mining accessories have already been sculpted. There are a lot of sculpts they are sitting on until the right time to release. Did someone mention western mythological creatures? Wendigos might happen someday...!! Glow in the dark figures, too, if they find a place for it. MORE SOON: More reveals are coming so stay tuned! |

Yes, I recognize that that last sentence is a fragment, but it is Sunday night. I’m not going back to fix it. |

That seems to be it. I also bought the Ranger, along with the Cavalry Officer and the Buckaroos, and logically as it will take longer, the Ranger will come with the others
