We could have some AMAZING BAFs in this line... SNAKE Armor, that crazy robot that infiltrated the Pit from the earlier Marvel issues (with little bug bots inside its head!), Fatal Fluffy...

Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of funny that this is on the front page? You know GI Joe news is slow when...
Anyway, When I see "DDP" I think of Devil's Due Press, which had me confused for a while. I have no problem with Derryl Depriest, not sure what the issue with him is... I can't believe people want POC designs for this sort of thing... No way that's going to happen. I mean, we all love POC here, but was it *really* a success? I'm almost certain this line - if it happens - will be pure RAH. Hopefully a mix of Sunbow accurate (we've never actually had that before) and Marvel Comics (especially if they are going to put in characters like Billy, Dr. Venom, etc.). I'd be fine with SW Black-style articulation, personally. Marvel Legends has too much, imo - ruins the look of the figure. |

That just isn't true. DePriest revived RAH at retail with the G.I. Joe vs Cobra line, which was an $80 million a year brand by 2003 with Spy Troops, which was 60% greater than the 25th Anniversary line's best sales of approximately $33 million in 2008. And the narrative of Sigma 6 as a failure is simply conjecture that has never been validated with even anecdotal evidence other than the fact that it eventually ended. The fact that it lost steam doesn't equate to it being a failure or hurt the brand. The retail support for it was tremendous.

I was thinking the same when I posted this way back in 2008...
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...a6-yes-no.html If the 4" line is to continue as well, let that be the realistic-style collector-oriented ARAH-remake line, which it has already been doing with Gung-Ho, Destro, Beach Head, etc.

The more I think about it, the more I'd really want to see a possible 6" line take a more creative and stylized approach, leaving the collector remakes to 4".
4" already has the parts for it, after all. Why simply recreate the 4" style in 6"? If we were to get some all-new sculpting, how about getting something other than basically scaled-up 4" parts.
