The Marauder "Gun-Runners" website will be set in "vacation" mode on Monday morning June 14th at 12:01am (very late Sunday night June 13). During that time site visitors can still navigate the site, search for products and add items to their shopping carts. But visitors will not be able to complete the checkout process or submit any payments. When we return from Joefest on June 30th, we will remove the vacation setting and reinstate all regular website use & functions. Thanks again for your support and sorry about the temporary website inconvenience. Thanks for your support! MJ & MGR Crew Quote:

We are disappointed at the news and are upset that our EU supporters will miss out on new MTF items & the MTF Vietnam Kickstarter. For me the bigger thing is they seem to be confirming that we can not participate in the kickstarters, which has got to have a impact on what stretch goals will be achieved. You could argue that as a one off event with all buyers only able to go up to an "all in" level it will have a bigger impact on the kickstarter than it will on their website sales. |

I am unfamiliar with the international laws they speak of, but why couldn't they just increase shipping costs or whatever they need to do to be able to ship to those countries?

The change now is that the UK, and EU, expect the overseas seller to register and provide regular records of sales/taxes to them. So for a company like Marauder this adds a significant amount of paperwork and cost to sell to the UK and EU, which probably negates the profitability of selling their products. |

I was just on the website, and there are only six copies of the Wrath novel listed. Quite a few sold after my interview on the Call to Action Show. Those six might be the remaining stock (Note: I don’t know this for a fact one way or the other). You may want to secure a copy if you haven’t yet.

The VAT tax laws have changed in UK and now EU. In the past, for the UK at least, we would buy goods from US and the onus was on the UK customs to apply and charge taxes to the buyer. This was hit and miss and could be avoided if the seller marked the value of the goods under a certain value.
The change now is that the UK, and EU, expect the overseas seller to register and provide regular records of sales/taxes to them. So for a company like Marauder this adds a significant amount of paperwork and cost to sell to the UK and EU, which probably negates the profitability of selling their products. I suppose marauders has looked at how much revenue they were getting from Europe and decided it wasnt much.. if they did have lots of customers, I'm betting they would figure out how to pass the cost off |

it's not costs, it's paperwork and time. they have to file VAT returns to the UK government and then they have to register as a business in each of the 27 EU states and then file returns for the appropriate state they sell to.

Yeah, that. Y'all are basically asking them to hire a full-time accountant for a company that's less than 10 people. It's unrealistic to expect.
