Hands and elbows usually take around 10 seconds. Lower legs (to pull the pins) I usually give about 30 seconds. Indiana Jones torsos can need a full minute-plus. It just depends on how much material you need to soften. If it's not soft enough to release the part you're removing, dip it in for longer. Reheat your water occasionally as needed.

I've never really had to go longer than 10 seconds with scalding water, you must've gotten some stiff figures. |

Anyhow, here is my first Marauder figure -- without the gloved hands I wanted to put on him. Last edited by AWOL; 06-05-2021 at 09:33 PM.. |

I don't know about your water situation, but the water from my tap never ever gets hot enough for what I need, so I either microwave some or use a kettle to get it hot enough.

Bought a new one a couple of years back and the lever snapped off when I cocked it. It's seems like everything that gets sold these days is junk and don't get me started on video games these days. I remember when buying the game actually bought the entire game, microtransactions hadn't even been thought of, and your purchase gave you full ownership rights to your copy instead of the "renting access to the servers" crap that companies pull now.
