The cloth boots are an homage to the O13 boots. I don't think they ever planned for the WWII figures and parts to be in to in all the standard Trooper colors. The WWII line was meant to be a WWII line. Any non-standard colors are for a unique purpose. They are nods to the old non-articulated army men or factions of GI Joe or Action Force. I imagine the Vietnam KS will be the same way. You may have to do some painting to get the exact figure build you are looking for.
I do agree that there should be a bit more standardization in the figure connection points, but even Big H had trouble doing that with a team of designers and a lot more money. As for the WWII stuff.. when I saw the KS I assumed that they would eventually produce those parts in their standard colors, just as they have for their other KS ventures. Even thought they are WWII uniforms, in different colors they could get alot of use out of the arms and torsos... the legs not so much, except for the Russians and germans I guess. I got a bunch (12-15) of the WWII figures.. but I cant really mix them in as much as I thought I would. For Vietnam, if I dont see figured that can be used with their more modern parts, I'll skip it this time. |

when I was on the Marauder group on Facebook, I suggested they do some different colours of the WW2 Commando beret, particularly maroon for Parachute Regiment troops.

Can anyone share a front and back pic of the MTF Army / Marine lower torso and legs without it's 'skirt' (lower shirt / jacket piece)?
Trying to determine how useable it is without it. Thanks! Last edited by Dod Ear; 01-23-2021 at 06:05 PM.. |
