Thanks for posting that. I planned to do the exact same arm swap but skipped it when I heard they aren't compatible. What color doesn't match? The black or the flesh tone? Can you post a pic with the arm straight so we can see the shirt meeting the shirt?

Great, thanks! It looks like there is a bit of a gap there (not so bad that I wouldn't still do the swap). Is it my imagination though? Also, any slop in the joint or is it firm?

The left forearms hole wasn't centered, so the hand is a little off at the wrist. But the elbow and wrist joints are tight, so they hold positions very well.

Who told you that? Should have asked me - I have swapped joe lowers one many times...going the other way MTF onto Joe requires more more...MTF plugs are longer so you need to drill the arms out more...same with the hands...

Also, since the plugs have the ridge to "catch" in the hole further up the shaft, how do you get a new groove further inside the hole to catch that ridge? Same hot glue fill? MTF-to-Joe parts swapping is new to me, so any tips are appreciated (and will bring MJ more of my money)...

I think you are over thinking it. I just take a small drill bit (the same size as the opening) and deepen the current hole in the upper or lower arm...heat some water and drop in the drilled part and leave the part to be inserted "cold" and test fit...if it goes all the way on..done...if not repeat. Don't go too deep or you will hit the next joint up. Pretty simple stuff once you move on from the fear of altering a perfectly good fig.

Well, I tried swapping a set of MTF lowers onto my 50th Flint before my last post and found that they do fit well on those uppers when inserted as far as they will go. There IS a gap still, so it wasn't just my view of the picture posted earlier. It's just not a deal-breaker on those Flint upper arms though, so I was just about to go order a set of black rolled sleeve lowers to use on them.
BUT THEN, I discovered that the lowers, when tugged on, will give about 1/16" or so before the ridge catches on the inside of the hole. There is a slop range and they just jiggle in and out within that range. That's why I asked about how to correct for that, particularly when drilling the arm hole deeper. The figures I am working on will be played with, so it's not enough to just cram them into the deepened hole. I have to assume they will be pulled on, and I don't want them to move/jiggle or come out of the uppers when that happens, which means I need a groove at the correct depth in the hole. Does anyone have a solution for that?
