I know they don't have the tooling any more, but what if Hasbro were to bring back the DG figures? They could change the color deco for each figure every 6 months. Those would sell for sure (In my opinion at least)!!!

I would be down for that. Not sure about the color thing but if they did a different wave every 3-6 months that would be great. It sucks they don't have the tooling though to do that.

Honestly, Hasbro could probably make money re-releasing a lot of the RoC/PoC/30th era toys and selling them DTC on Pulse (especially if they offered free shipping to non=premium members over $25 or whatever). Then again, the orignal DTC stuff on HasbroToyShop had to be clearanced and their 50th offerings at TRU suffered the same fate...so even if we buy what we say we'll buy, it may not be enough.
Also, did Hasbro actually ever say that tooling was gone or did we just do the math/assume it was gone? I mean, I personally don't think it's available anymore for a number of reasons, but Hasbro saying they no longer had it is not one of those reasons.

It was never officially said by Hasbro, but with the move to Vietnam, and from a mention on the Full Force Podcast, there basically is no POC/50th tooling left. It was destroyed.

I would think the 25th/ROC/POC/30th/50th tooling all still exists some where. Last year Hasbro confirmed they still have Star Wars molds from the Legacy Collection. If they kept those from all the way back in 2008, surely they must have kept the G.I.Joe molds from the same period too.
That alien is from Joytoy's Warhammer 40k line. It's one of the Tau Empire Fire Warriors. They're in 1:18th scale. They have some impressive vehicles and figures. But dang if they aren't expensive. I have a few of them, a few Space Marines and some of the Death Korps of Kreig figures. |
