Also, if you're specifically interested in Char Aznable, and have some money to burn, there is actually a 1:18 scale version of him: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/163628 There's a whole series of 1:18 Gundam characters, but they aren't cheap. They do look nice, though.

No idea if the Contract Ops legs were new or if fit on Elite Ops torso was abnormal due to possible tooling change. I previously had the torso on dress pants legs.
EDIT: From experimenting, I just noticed the Buckle smooth butt waist fits t-shirt torso via easy snap on, but the Webbing buckle pocket butt waist is a struggle to attach to the t-shirt torso. I'd prefer a cheaper route to Char Aznable. If the $50+ official Char's elbow broke, I'd feel like I wasted a bit too much money. Anyone successfully use Gundam Markers on MTF heads for sideburns or to make eyebrows thicker? I vaguely remember seeing someone use it on Marvel Legends for panel lining and it smudged off. No joke!!
I'm not a fan of the armored legs, which is why I never bought any figures until they finally offered the cloth legs. To me, the Ambush-Ops is the closest thing to the Woodland Camo pattern in the "Buck" style figures (not counting the yellow shirt Contractor-Ops). Jason Contract Ops legs would be easy to move when dipped in very hot water, but will go back to being very tight. |

Lesson learned:
If the waist ball doesn't easily click into the torso, don't keep trying. I don't think either of these parts are the type of plastic that softens with heat. Probably almost dislocated both thumbs trying to get t-shirt torso on pocket butt webbing buckle waist. After it got on, it was way dangerously too tight. I feel like if I twist or try to remove, ball peg on waist might break. Never again. T-shirt torso works fine with smooth butt belt buckle waist. I hope Ultra and Vietnam parts work normally with older parts. |

If you can't dent the plastic with your thumbnail heating it doesn't accomplish dick except increase your energy bill and spiral the universe into entropic heat death a moment sooner.
